Audrey Hepburn (Jennifer Love Hewitt) becomes one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood despite her difficult childhood. As a young girl, Hepburn (Emmy Rossum) struggles with the divorce of her mother (Frances Fisher) and father (Keir Dullea). She must also endure the Nazi occupation of her home country, the Netherlands. JLH was absolutely the wrong choice for the role. She just wasn’t believable as Audrey Hepburn . I’m sorry to say, she didn’t carry herself with the same grace or sophistication. Hepburns voice was unique but JLH attempt came off as strange, unnatural and had no resemblance to Audrey Hepburns. Her whole performance seemed laboured and lacked maturity. The role I’m afraid was beyond her talent.

Jennifer Love Hewitt flawlessly presents Hepburn's voice inflections, body language and microexpressions in a fine performance. I wish the story revealed more the of the subject's complexity, such as the impact of her father's abandonment and rejection on her adult relationships, as much as it spoke to her broadly known charm.

I really hated JLH as Audrey. She doesn't look like her, she doesn't talk like her. Nothing actually. Of course nobody can be the same, but I feel like there were so much more beter choices to play Audrey. This fact made the movie a total blunder, imo.
