Greatest Gay athlete pays a heavy price for his gayness which translates into big promotional bucks that Wheaties doesn't want on its box. Then came HIV status & vamp lover & other scams & schemes leading finally to coming out with a number one best seller. Which led back to the sport he loved & marriage partner who really loved him.

Just saw this last night and was impressed with Greg's journey over the years, both good and bad, as well as with his sympathetic treatment by the film. I was one of the original Kickstarter backers, so it was cool to see my name at the end, but mostly I'm happy my little bit of money helped bring Greg's story to the screen. It's sad that someone as dominant as he was could not cash in because of his sexuality and the silly fear that he could not project the "proper" image for products. I also condemn the Barry Dillers and David Geffens of the world, as they surely could have hired Greg as some sort of corporate rep. or spokesperson, but they did not. I'm glad Greg seems to have reached a good place in his life, as he comes off as basically a good guy who deserves happiness. Go, Greg!
