Bad Samaritan Reviews
Brilliant movie, a real thriller. Great acting throughout, real suspense. Definitely worth a watch
An B movie thriller that has some suspenseful and shocking moments with decent direction by Dean Devlin (The Librarians, Eight Legged Freaks) and an fantastic performance by David Tennant (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Bright Young Things)
This is a terrible predictable moving. For example a girl is locked in a cage with a collar on her , if she screams she gets electrocuted. But she can take it off her self , there no lock on it just a strap, so stupid, Embarassing movie DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
Surprisingly a lot more solid than I was expecting. Very good suspense and thrills within a plot that continuously evolves at a steady pace that is not too slow or too fast.
20 minutes in and I'm fully rooting for the bad guy (Tennant). Protagonist is an annoying tweener who, together with his friend, rub me te wrong way. So yeah, I'm rooting for the murdering sadist instead of the protagonist. Tells you all you need to know about this movie.
A rip off of a million better films with only Tennant to recommend it.
David is such a rich IT genius psychopath cat & mice predator game worthy of little Oscar's nomination, good enough to keep you buckle up for the wild ride.
The only reason I put it on was simple, Robert Sheehan and David Tennant. The story line is beyond boring. David Tennant can't play a villan 🤣 too funny
Woefully bad on almost every level. The plot was about as believable as the Tooth Fairy, with the main character being ignored by the police and FBI despite his honest tone and photographic evidence and David Tennant's character being able to get away with anything. The events were also extremely predictable and over the top. The main character should have died after that many hits to the head with a shovel, and the girlfriend might not have survived either. All the characters besides the locked up woman behaved like idiots, making the film more of a comedy than a mystery and thriller. The villain felt blatantly fake thanks to poor writing and an awful performance from David Tennant. Then the other actors were very mediocre. The film was stretched out and repetitive, leading to poor pacing. Lastly, the cinematography and visual effects were reasonable, but the soundtrack was nothing special.
David Tennant stars as a man with a dark secret discovered in unusual circumstances in this Interesting thriller. Tennant is good in lead role. Visually very low budget. Unique premise. Some startling moments. Good to pass some time but not the best. The dialogue is horrible btw.
Eu gostei bastante do filme. É bem divertido, fiquei bastante tensa e ansiosa. Torci pelos personagens até o fim. Também fiquei satisfeita com o desfecho. Recomendo!
Wow! This is beyond belief. The kind of movie you just watch incredulously, wondering if it can possibly get any worse...and it can. I signed up to Rotten Tomatoes out of a sense of public duty in the hope that I can save others from the misery of this movie. Truly shocking.
This was such a pleasant surprise! Quite shocked it's got such a mediocre score! I was hooked the whole time, all the performances were brilliant and it's wasn't predictable at all, really took me be surprise! Would definitely recommend!
It is a very good movie although the assassine does not inspire fear enough. The police as always arrive late
A struggling young photographer struggles to keep himself afloat until he begins a sideline in home invasions where he robs rich homeowners of small items they won't know are missing straight away. He soon regrets choosing his latest target after he discovers a young woman tied and gagged to a chair in the home. He calls the police only to find the homeowner has soon covered his tracks. From this point on he finds the psychopath's attentions are now focused are him and is intent on doing all he can to destroy his life. This has b-movie written all over it but it does manage to rise just above b-movie status due to a manic and unsettling performance from the villain of the piece David Tennant. The story is fairly predictable, you know the cops aren't going to believe the young thief and he is instead going to try and rescue the girl himself, even so, it's an enjoyable journey all the way to it's predictable ending. The one thing that nearly does drag the film under is the absolutely terrible musical score. It's very overly dramatic , so much so it lessens the tension of some of the key scenes to make them almost comical. An entertaining kidnap / home invasion thriller that will keep you hooked if you don't take it too seriously.
Story-wise it was quite interesting but has some holes in it. But David tennant's acting was superb! I can feel the coldness and the craziness of his character. His acting help boosting this movie rating.
Great watch, will watch again, and please watch this. I can't believe I hadn't heard of this movie until about a week before this review, and it's David Tenant no less. This is really proof of his mastery in the arts, as well as an example of how the antagonist is actually the one that tends to move the story forward: the hero has to react the wrong doings, and that combined with a battle of wits like this keeps you engaged as well as entertained. This movie reminds me a lot of "Don't Breathe", but on a bigger scale, almost with a dash of "Eagle Eye". There's a hidden message of money is evil (which is always humorously ironic coming from a big studio movie), if you want to look deeper than the psychological profiles of all the awful people in the movie, but there's actual a scene or two that breaks it down pretty simply. Give this a watch, unless its going to trigger you: I imagine it'll be a good watch.
