Leslie Felperin Guardian An impishly nasty machine for jump scares and creepy just-seen imagery using old-fashioned practical effects. It’s not a terribly original work but does create its own toxic, hypnagogic atmosphere. Rated: 3/5 Dec 31, 2024 Full Review John Townsend Starburst With shallow characters acting oddly and a story with less flesh on its bones than the titular witch, Beezel is sadly rather disappointing and bland. Rated: 2/5 Dec 26, 2024 Full Review Abbie Bernstein Assignment X Finding footage rather than the more customary found footage horror. Rated: B- Oct 21, 2024 Full Review Ygraine Hackett-Cantabrana What a Scream Podcast Whilst Beezel should be applauded for its creature design and effects, [....] the time era hopping leaves the film feeling disjointed, never allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in or get familiar with the story and the world being built. Rated: 2/5 Oct 16, 2024 Full Review Allison Rose FlickDirect For fans of gory, jumpy, full of “sneak attacks” and blood horror movies, Beezel delivers. Lucas L Bad movie 👎it had certain elements to it but the ending and just the non existent scares were boring uncreative this movie didn’t not need to be an hour should’ve been a short film like get to the point also a very gross sexual film I hate when horror films have that cause it’s just unnecessary to get scared wish I could unwatch it to get my time back, so tired of watching bad horror films 😪 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review Paul M The pinnacle of the found-footage sub genre, its short sweet and gets right to the point. Taking heavy inspiration from the Evil Dead series as well as Paranormal Activity and The Visit, Beezel mixes all three elements of horror about as well as you can hope for... 8.2/10. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/11/25 Full Review Manu M Almost in every point it's a good horror movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/09/25 Full Review Katherine G A VERY scary movie! Although when you think about it, the plot is hilarious. The first hour was crap your pants scary so I was sort of glad when the last half hour was slower and the female lead was a bit overly enthusiastic as an actress. I've seen about a million scary movies, but I watched so much of this movie through my hands that I had to watch a YouTube recap to make sure I understood it all! I liked/hated how they put the scariest shots of the movie right as you're already full of dread and wanting to look away. Great watch for a date! Probably not the movie to watch if you have kids. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/25 Full Review Darren D "Beezel" from Aaron Fradkin & Victoria Fratz Fradkin, is a mean little horror of hopelessness set over six decades in one cursed location. Fradkin builds some good moments of tension driven scares, with the use of shadowy images & old fashioned practical effects, "Beezel" feels like a nice throwback to other titles in the genre from the 70s & 80s, which had remembering the original "Evil Dead". There's no lore dumping of exposition, you're thrown straight into each story. The traditional style of filming & found footage does enough to fill in the gaps & all you need to know is the sense of dread from the witch that prays upon & has an insatiable thirst to feast on the unknowing victims who step foot into the home. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/07/25 Full Review Fearless T This movie was so bad I can’t believe I wasted my time watching this trash Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Read all reviews
