Body Cam Reviews
pointless; not worth the time
Its raw and eye opening, dangerous and crazy. Some of the things I've seen in this series, you can't make up, as the saying goes, truth is stranger than fiction. I watch every episode, every season, it makes me aware what kinds of dangers lurk around every corner regardless of age, race, heritage or sex.
This movie is one of the biggest pieces of a shit movies I've ever watched in my entire life complete ass I'm totally serious
This is a movie, ultimately, about two women who lost their black sons violently. This movie was great because Mary Blighe was really amazing. I didn't know who she was at the time, but what a great actress she is. The supporting cast was just as amazing as well. The story was well written, and perfectly directed but... This is about really bad white cops killing an unarmed black kid in a bad way and covering it up - and good thing we had the really really good black cops to find the killer(s) and bring justice to the black kid. Although that was the gist of it, and I hate, hate radical undertones of any type (we have enough in the real world), this movie was just too good to not provide 4 stars... However, Be Warned! It is very violent at times, hard to watch because of what happens to the young black kid, and horribly sad for the two mothers. I had a hard night's sleep after this.
Ambitious horror that throws in social issues of police brutality, but something just doesn't hit the mark.
If you've ever seen an episode of the original X files or Twilight Zone-type of shows, nothing here will be new. That said, it was entertaining enough. Not knowing Blige much, I was able to ignore her star power enough to see that she's a reasonable actor. Not all loose ends tied up and you never get to truly see the monster/murderer...but it's okay.
Kept as realistic as possible especially the first half an hour. Unfortunately the audience took a disliking because they wanted more from the horror and jump element than story. Mary J B was outstanding deserved much more credit. A film edited well just not many rated this.
Eh! The acting was subpar, and the lighting was terrible. The concept was solid, though. It's a shame the execution wasn't better. Some of the plot points should have been given more time and depth. But it looks like the budget was a whole ten dollars, so it is what it is.
Mary J. Blige turns in a stellar performance, in this supernatural cop drama dealing with current social unrest, MJB does a good job of keeping her character grounded in reality with all the strange occurrences going on, the intrigue was seeing how they would link the supernatural aspect of the film with the social issues, the sub plot of her personal issues was an unnecessary distraction IMO , they could've had more interaction between the cops to show how each ethnicity feels about the current social climate, that was a wasted opportunity, so because of that...it just passed the time
Using the vantage point of body cameras and standard cinematic camera angles is just a gimmick and storytelling approach that does not offer anything new to the genre, but at the same time makes it a fun watch nonetheless.
That was awful. There was some mystery, but the supernatural element was not explained at all. I can't even say more...
Great horror/thriller/action movie. MJ was amazing. Great storyline, sad scary and twisted anf it mad me sad but it was so good. MUST WATCH. Should be in theaters it was so good.
So bad. Couldn't figure out if it was a comedy for the first 15 minutes because the script is so cliche and many of the actors act like they're in a horror SNL movie. Seriously what the hell was that
Horrible nonlinear, super natural cop mystery. So poorly written and plotted that you would have to believe the writers and director was trying to make a horrible film on purpose. Mary J. Blige was passable given the horrible script.
