When BELLA realizes her mentally ill uncle/stepfather GORDY hid her college acceptance letter, she kicks him out of the house for the last time... so she thinks. When her mother YEVA allows Gordy back, Bella and her pocket squirrel BANDIT bolt to NYC with no money, no friends, no roof, and too much pride to turn back. With help from MARTA, an undocumented immigrant, OWAIS, a lonely vet, and STANDRICK, an insecure designer, Bella thrives, until she discovers an unlikely and horrifying connection. This revelation propels Bella to act without consulting her new "found family" and the results are devastating. Bella and her friends concoct a dark dangerous plan to break free from Gordy forever. The plan works, then fails, then works, and then fails. It finally corrects itself with the help of the unlikeliest person, but in the most heart-wrenching, tragic way.

Surya Komal Just for Movie Freaks Bound is a bold exploration of trauma, survival, and redemption, driven by powerful performances and a gripping storyline—at least for the majority of its runtime. Rated: 3.5/5 May 16, 2025 Full Review Tom Meek Cambridge Day It’s a game, plucky performance by Sadeghian that anchors the film, while the edgy slide guitar score by Ethan Startzman goes far to help ratchet up the tension. Rated: 2.5/4 May 15, 2025 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Gritty, but unfocused and overwrought. May 15, 2025 Full Review Morgan Rojas Cinemacy Backed by a forceful and controlled performance from actor Alexandra Faye Sadeghian, 'Bound' is a ruthless yet compassionate story of perseverance in the face of adversity. May 14, 2025 Full Review Debopriyaa Dutta High on Films Even when Bound intermittently soars and lands on an emotion that rattles one’s core, it plummets right back into shallow waters, embracing an ethos that is painfully skin-deep. Rated: 2.5/5 May 14, 2025 Full Review Tom Jolliffe Flickering Myth Bound is definitely a film worth checking out, with first-rate performances from top to bottom and an engaging and emotionally powerful story. Not always an easy watch with its hard-hitting themes, but the film has so much sincerity. Rated: 4/5 Mar 24, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Jason R Bound captures the essence of strength and resilience in form a young woman struggling against a complicated world. With imaginative direction, powerful cinematography, and a stellar cast, Bound tells an exceptional story that is both enjoyable and relatable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/09/25 Full Review Film F What a gem of an indie film this is. I had no idea where the film was headed, but was riveted the entire time by the twists, the turns, the surprises and the incredible acting by the entire ensemble. Great job on casting. The production quality was also on point. Great cinematography, lighting, sound, score, and eclectic array of music that somehow all fit. Kudos to the team behind the director! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/21/25 Full Review Chris P What an emotional rollercoaster. This film is both brutal and heartwarming. The acting is superb and the twists and turns of the story take you to unexpected places. The cinematography and editing are frantic, which really puts us inside the mental state of the main character. There are also surprisingly funny moments with some of the side characters which help break up the mostly heavy/dark scenes. An impressive achievement for a first-time director working with a low budget, with a strong ensemble cast that carries us through the experience. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/21/25 Full Review Audience Member I haven't seen a film that took me on an emotional journey like this in a long time. I laughed, I cried, I freaked out, and then I did it all over and over again. It was super suspenseful. I found myself holding my breath for long moments and gripping the edge of my seat. Some serious incredible acting by the leads and entire ensemble. Really believable relatable characters and I found myself rooting for all of them. Cinematography, lighting, wardrobe, editing, music, sound, really all the departments crushed it. And who doesn't love a flying squirrel? I want one now! I'll be looking out for what this director and team do next. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/20/25 Full Review Josh A This heartfelt, emotional, fast-paced, exciting, dark, and beautiful film is truly a cinematic gem. It masterfully combines powerful storytelling with breathtaking visuals, delivering an experience that resonates on so many levels. The acting is nothing short of exceptional—each performance feels authentic and deeply moving, drawing viewers into the complex emotional worlds of the characters. The story itself is both gripping and poignant, skillfully blending moments of intensity with heartfelt, intimate scenes that linger long after the credits roll. From start to finish, the film is an exhilarating ride. The nail-biting sequences keep you on the edge of your seat, while the lighter, more whimsical moments provide a much-needed balance. Its pacing is brilliantly executed, maintaining a rhythm that keeps the audience fully engaged without ever feeling rushed. As the narrative unfolds, the layers of depth and complexity become more apparent, making it an emotionally rewarding journey. One of the most remarkable aspects of the film is its ability to make you care deeply about the main character. Their struggles, triumphs, and vulnerabilities feel so real that it’s impossible not to become invested in their journey. In fact, by the end of the film, you may find yourself wishing it didn’t have to end, as the connection forged between the audience and the protagonist is that strong. This movie is not just a story—it's an experience, one that will leave a lasting impression on anyone fortunate enough to watch it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/11/25 Full Review Christian J It was an amazing movie, didn’t see that ending coming. The writing was phenomenal and the editing and producing and obviously give it up to the man Isaac do just being that dude on this one. 🔥 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/11/25 Full Review Read all reviews
