Bubble Boy Reviews
Very entertaining, and I got many good laughs. My favorite characters have to be Pappy and Pippy.
Bubble Boy is a stupid, cute, fun film with young Jake Gyllanhal’s decent comedic dynamic that carries this film along with other known actors and their comedic moments. Nothing spectacular. Grading: C
This movie was definetely on crack
First movie I ever saw with Jake, and still my favorite.
so dumb it's funny!!
Legendary movie. One for the books. 5 stars isn't enough.
Not amazing, but definitely a tad underrated. I remember I happened to come accross this just by chance one night, and I really enjoyed it. Then a few months later I was staying at my auntys and her freind had borrowed her a few of his dvds for me to watch. And one was donnie darko, looking at the films I saw the bubble boy guy there ! So I watched it specifically for him really, and was absolutely blown away by him in that. Ever since he has been one of my favourite actors. And I still rewatch these two every so often. Which I don't do with to many films
It's a dorky, funny, romantic, hilarious, super entertaining movie! Absolutely love it!!
Cute movie Kinda played out like a Disney movie but still really cute.
The least funny 01 hour: and 24 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This had among the worst dialogue that I have ever heard in a movie. It didn't feel like naturalistic speaking and the cadence implied that they were just trying to set up the jokes. I did laugh a few times throughout the movie, especially at his overbearing mother, but a ton of the sight gags and other jokes just did not land at all for me. Him being indestructible while in his bubble just felt unrealistic and a bit offensive toward people who are actually forced to live that way. I am shocked that this received a wide release, was greenlit in the first place and that it had the cast it did. Best to forget I saw this one. The soundtrack was pretty good though.
almost works because of its cast but the script isn't great.
A film that did not age well, not that it was ever good, with bad, offensive jokes, if you could even call them that.
A friend of mine showed me this movie and I must say, it was the best comedy movie I've ever seen.
The basic Rom-com, Unfortunately hasn't aged very well. It was cool seeing Zach Galifianakis young though.
I've always loved this movie. I saw it right when it came onto DVD and have rewatched it many times. I think I just understood that the characters and jokes that people thought were offensive were there very intentionally to point out their absurdity. Also Jake Gyllenhaal is amazing and adorable.
A great comedy. Period. One of his best roles.
