La película retrata de buena forma parte de la vida de Cantinflas, no soy un experto en cine, pero soy mexicano, y según mi nunca humilde opinion, la pelicula es buena aunque carece de sentido en ciertas partes, es una película que cumple la función de entretener, aunque como todo en ciertas partes el ritmo de la película cae, o que por ejemplo la primera mitad de la película llega a ser un tanto tediosa y se podría decir que es hasta un poco lenta, y en ciertas partes antes de que Mike Todd se encuentre con Cantinflas llega de alguna forma a dividirse el protagonismo entre los dos lo cual es un poco absurdo considerando que el protagonista tendría que ser Cantinflas. Fuera de eso la actuación de Óscar Jaenada es verdaderamente impresionante, a pesar de ser español si llega a creerse que es mexicano, algo que yo creí la primera vez que la vi, hasta que descubrí que era 100% español. En conclusión, es una película que si bien es buena, pudo haber sido mucho mejor, sin embargo cumple su función de entretener al público y de hacerte sentir en la época del cine de oro mexicano.

Not often you get to witness a movie quite this bad, in direction, script and acting. Even the extras are awful. However, the phony crowd scene in the bullfight arena and Michael Imperioli's ill-fitting wig are simply not to be missed.

How can. you portray the life of Cantinflas in a 2 hour film? Say what you will,but I found Oscar's performance STUNNING!

Oscar Jaenada's performance as Cantinflas is spot on and is worth a watch. However, the movie feels like it's lacking in content and can't decide on being either a Cantinflas Biopic or a Documentary film about "Around the World in 80 days."

The movie is fantastic. Having grown up watching Cantinflas' original movies, Oscar Jaenada remarkably imitates every gesture and voice inflection of the late Mario Moreno. The story is so touching and it gives such insight into the rags to riches story along with the true love story. Mario's (Cantinflas) wife was a beautiful Russian woman. The translation of the movie was so, so poor. While many of his jokes simply do no translate into English, the ones, which could have been translated, were completely ruined. If this movie was fantastic.

Oscar Jaenada está impresionante como Cantinflas, pero como biopic-homenaje al comediante es en extremo básica, como sacada de enciclopedia, además de tener situaciones poco creíbles y ser tonalmente desastrosa.

IMHO it could have been a lot deeper, Oscar Jaenada impressed me as Cantinflas but that was it.

Me resistia a verla pero realmente esta bien hecha... Un poco suavizada la personalidad final de MM pero lograron una historia bien contada.

I had to have an open mind before watching this movie because, realistically, no one can duplicate Cantinflas' genius talent. It had its really good moments but I felt some scenes were cut too short. And I feel like other movies of his deserved a few scenes in this film as well, they would have added to the comedic elements. It was only around 1 hr 40 minutes long and this wasu NOT long enough. It needed many details about his life!

Is not a bad movie, I just wish there was more.
