Deepika Padukone shines as Meenamma, effortlessly blending humour and strength while nailing her Tamil-accented Hindi. Together, their chemistry is electric and keeps the story engaging. The film is packed with Shetty’s trademark action sequences and colourful visuals, along with a dose of slapstick humour that works more often than not. The music, particularly songs like "Lungi Dance" and "Titli," adds to the film’s appeal and helps maintain its lively pace. While Chennai Express is undeniably fun, its over-the-top moments and reliance on stereotypes can feel excessive at times. The narrative occasionally leans on formulaic tropes, but the sheer energy of the performances and the film's charm keep it afloat. Overall, Chennai Express is a thoroughly enjoyable ride, offering a mix of laughter, romance, and action that makes for an entertaining watch, even if it isn’t ground-breaking.
