Christmas Bloody Christmas Reviews
badass chick meets terminator santa...hahahahaha...entire town populated w/ long-haired, NOT young, NOT nubile, metal heads which is a hoot PLUS i'll watch anything w/ jeremy gardner because he shows up in and supports whack independent horror films
This is just a standard slasher at Christmas movie with no particular stand out feature. Didn’t really develop a plot, had an annoyingly slow start and the kills weren’t that fun. Too many fake out “deaths” at the end.
the beginning dialogue wasn't good at all, but once the movie picked up the pace and got to the point, i was shocked how good it became.
Q GENTE 77%? GENTE ESSE FILME É HORRÍVEL É SEMELHANTE AO URSINHO POOH SANGUE E MEL.
Deaths were ok, gore was fun, concept was kinda cool but the story is awful. Acting is beyond bad. The lead is obnoxious and the improvised dialogue is tiring. Everybody screams all the time and I wish the director had the courage to say CUT! when his actors were overacting. One of the cops acting is hilariously bad and I bet he thought he was doing a great job. Inexperienced actors always think that the more they yell and exaggerate things the better they are. I don't know how the director got the money and approval to do this thing. Did nobody watch it before they release it? I love gore, I love horror comedy and satire, but this movie has a terrible execution. I don't get the critics high score. We definitely didn't watch the same movie.
This is a movie that I was intrigued when I heard about it. It is the newest film from Joe Begos who I'm a fan of. It is a Christmas movie. He also pulled in two actors that I'm a big fan, Graham Skipper and Jeremy Gardner, in cameo roles. I did read the synopsis ahead of watching this, but that was about the extent of what I knew. I'm always down for a Christmas horror movie.
This movies use of the f word was in every sentance I would rather have watched "the mean one" a second time. I watched the whole thing out of bordum and was very sad I wasted my time on it.
The first 40 minutes are excruciating. Never have I rooted so hard for every single character in a movie to get the axe.
Premise of a Santa Terminator was good but so many pointless banter scenes. Amazing how most of the town seems to sleep through things blowing up. Complete dross.
Pretty good movie with great dialogue. Laughed multiple times
Meh is the best this movie can do. The script was a first draft middle school term paper at best. Characters weren't relatable or likeable. Scenes dragged too long on boring conversations repeating f-bombs because the writer didn't care. Once the killing starts, you can enjoy a 80s style slasher ticking off victims one by one. Just don't hope for good acting or a sound plot.
This movie is pretty fascinating, the Santa is supposed to be a robotic Santa, every movement he makes to look "robotic" is so forced and the scene where they're inside the car trying to get away is BEYOND infuriating to watch, then the scene with the cop is just as infuriating, just a bad movie through and through.
AI makes this christmas quite bloody Shudder and director Joe Begos bring a new holiday slasher to the mix Think of it as 'Silent Night' meets 'Terminator' A new robotic Santa android has been unveiled with state-of-the-art interaction and animatronics But the government has had to recall all of them due to malfunctioning to its original programming by the US Defense Department Unfortunately one Santa has become sentient and starts going on a killing spree throughout town Our main heroine is Torri, she closes up a record store eager to just have a fun night and let loose But when she meets with her friends at the toy store the murderous Santa happens to be there picking them off one by one The film by Begos spoofs typical Christmas themed advertisements almost acting like a 1980s slasher It's got that atmosphere of the holiday too with the entire town being littered with neon lights and decorations The kills are very brutal and this thing seems to be unstoppable at every turn A lot of the characters really aren't the most intelligent and their dialogue spouts like something along the writings of Eli Roth Riley Dandy makes for a good final girl constantly trying to destroy this Santa, it shows a young woman's dismissal of Christmas that much more scary The film has such a huge climax you almost don't know when it's over...although it could've properly ended instead of just stopping altogether At 87 minutes it's a hell of a ride if not retainable
Great screenplay and the acting is great! Loved everything about it!
this movie feels like a love letter to 80s horror and the horror community in general, bringing back that grindhouse feel with obnoxious dialogue, layers and layers of film grain, low budget, practical effects, neon aesthetic and first person POV kills. i love the characters, the standout performances are for sure from Riley Dandy and Sam Delich and Abraham Benrubi as Santa Clause, not only did he do great at portraying Santa but also as a Santa Robot. the christmas feels are 500% there and maybe even a little over the top, with loads of snow, decorations and obviously a killer robot Santa. as i said before this movie has a gorgeous neon aesthetic to it, the lighting is amazing throughout the whole runtime. this movie gives ZERO fucks, and i will warn you, a kid gets killed which i know is the drawing point for some people. the grindhouse feel means that there are jump cuts especially during the kills, sometimes that leads you to be a little confused at what your looking at but you kinda get over it after awhile. the best way to describe this movie is candy, it's short, sweet and a blast from beginning to end. it won't be everyones cup of tea but it certainly was mine. i had so much fun with this one and will 100% be revisiting in the next coming years. this movie is under appreciated and needs more love! i loved this!
🍅 8.4/10 Christmas bloody Christmas Is a cross between terminator child's play and silent night deadly night all in one flashy stylish horror flick The characters feel pretty realistic sometimes too horny and the acting is pretty good overall a good time. Grade A-
Really enjoyed the concept. it was something different!
'Christmas Bloody Christmas' is a breezy, sleazy, wild ride that delivers not only memorable slaughter, but genuinely endearing characters and banter. Riley Dandy and Sam Delich are a solid duo with excellent chemistry, and the colorful supporting cast adds even more opportunity for both snappy dialogue and brutal violence. It's outlandish to say the least, but it's always entertaining and a bloody good time.
Santa's gone haywire. With an axe. But he's a robotic Santa from a store, and so he's not scary. But if you want a drawn out 20 minute robotic santa death that's absurd, this is your film.
