This was not a high budget film and that is a factor in giving it an above average rating. Actors/actresses put in really good performances and leaped into these roles with excellence. Yes, it could be cornball at times to an adult, but this film appears geared to appeal to children also. Story telling is an art. Certainly, could be improved upon. But why don't you watch it with the kids and enjoy yourselves!
