Propaganda presented as study .Cleverly disguised documentary to promote Free Market Economy and Glottalization.
To sound neutral and propagate this ideology there is scant or minimal critique of Free Markets .Documentary spends around 300 minutes singing virtues and praises of Free Market System, completely and totally ignoring/feigning shortfalls. Only;y in this documentary Reagan and Thatcher are celebrated as Champions and heroes of the masses.
This documentary doent even bother to make a case or look for an alternative for Free Market Model. It blindly accepts and champions the cause of Free Markets.Purely regarding Economics it never studies or feigns totally ignorance to
- Lack of Global Currency which inhibits Actual Free Trade and encourages Currency Manipulation
-Disparity of Wealth in Colonial Powers as opposed to Developing Countries
-Standard of Living or (GDP PPP per Per Capita)
-Fiat Monetary system in 70s aftereffect of Marshall Plan and decay of Gold Standard
Only in this documentary are Newt Gingrich and Dick Cheney are guest despite having interests in Enron . Which has been a dirty blotch to Free Market Model. Oh yes Enron is comfortably omitted . A documentary sponsored by Koch Subsidiary makes you wonder . Propaganda presented as study

Brilliant. If you're an aspiring economist or someone who wants to be entertained while learning about macro-economic history, this is the place to start.

Great PBS doco that examines the history of the global economy over the past 90 years. One of the most informative documentaries I've seen. Surprising how interesting this doco is given the potentially dull nature of the topic...
