Desperate Measures Reviews
An over the top action thriller that is held together by Michael Keaton playing a complete psychopath convict who tries to escape prison life by literally trying to escape from the hospital where he is suppose to get bone marrow transplant in order to saves a young boy life.
The good acting and cast were wasted on this trite story line. By the end of the film I was no longer rooting for good guys and just wanted it to end.
Love all,of the actors in the movie. The acting wasn’t bad but the story was a little far fetched and predictable. Worth a watch but don’t be surprised when st the end you say to yourself, eh
Trying to put so much uninspired crap into just one movie is a desperature measure.
I honestly don't know why this movie has gotten such low ratings It was a fantastic movie Michael Keaton was really really good in it Andy Garcia was good in it. Action packed had a nice ending. One of my favorite movies
Keaton's performance is really the only thing that it has but it is more than enough.
Personally was always a favorite of mine. KEATON delivers a totally likeable villain. Never understood why it was so poorly reviewed and not well accepted by audiences.
I loved ‘Desperate Measures'! Don't listen to the critics!! People have been way, way too harsh on this, for no reason. It's a solid 90s action movie. I found it to be credible; the acting was good; the storyline was plausible. Remember - it's an action movie, and the fact that I couldn't find any flaws in the screenplay or plot says a lot. The production is great. It's just as good as ‘The Fugitive', ‘Clear & Present Danger' etc. 9/10.
This is my favorite Movie. Sarcasm. I need 4 sugars in my coffee and my cigarette privilege Back or ur Cop son is dead? Loveable
Far from perfect, but underrated nonetheless.
This is one of both Keaton's and Garcia's BEST movies. I love the perfect amount of action, drama, and suspense that keeps you guessing & on the edge of your seat from the beginning. It would be great to have more movies like this made where the actors are actually believable, it's not poorly recorded or too caught up in special effects, and there is a plot that isn't stupid.
11/26/2014: An ok movie with a very good cast. The action was pretty good and Keaton plays a pretty good bad guy. The storyline was very weak though.
Bon thriller. Course poursuite dans un hopital entre un Andy Garcia en mode flic pret a tout et un Michael Keaton en derange mental.
Michael Keaton is badly miscast. It is probably the worst role I have ever seen him in. The visual effects aren't that great and everything about the film seems amateurish. If nothing else it did keep my interest though. (First and only viewing - 2/27/2017)
Better than average action / suspense movie. Garcia is good as the cop determined to pull out all the stops to save his dying son, but Keaton is fantastic as the murderer who is hoped to be the boy's savior. The story is unbelievable, but the performances get you beyond that. Worth a watch.
This could of been better, especially when you got Michael Keaton as the villain, that is literally the best thing about the film because he's convincing.
+ simple but interesting plot; good acting from Michael Keaton; good suspense overall - it drags a bit and becomes a bit ludicrous at times; some incoherent scenes; the kid performance could be better
