This mess strings together bits and pieces from previous exorcism and 'lost footage' horror movies, throws in a cliche all-wise Buddhist monk and the cliche angst-lead-with-troubled-past, then presents them in a confused and inconsistent plot. The greatest tragedy is the solid acting talent and high production expense all wasted on horrible writing and poor storyline.
