The ideas are not pushed nearly as far or with as much success as they are in, for example, King Of Comedy, The Icicle Thief (the 1989 Italian comedy) or even Ed 온라인카지노추천, for that matter.

Who in the world is in charge of foreign film Oscar nominations? And what hints of greatness did they see in this artlessly benign little comedy?

The movie ... was one of this year's Oscar nominees for best foreign film, leading one to wonder what films were passed over to make room for it.
| Original Score: 1.5/4 | Jul 19, 2001
A sprightly, entertaining film, but one in which the satire is neutralized for laughs.

Deruddere seems intent on indicting the television culture for promoting unrealistic hopes of stardom, but the film ultimately embraces the medium as a means of self-fulfillment.

Sweet, silly, not-bad.
Full Review | Original Score: 3.5/5 | Jul 5, 2001
A hearty mainstream comedy with a sharp satirical edge balanced with just enough sentimentality to send audiences home happy.
| Original Score: 4/5 | Jul 5, 2001
Between its tired, cliche-ridden target and its cast of tiresome characters, a better title for this Belgian import would have been Everybody's Fatuous!

Too brisk and plucky to dislike.
