Audience Member If Michaël Youn was an inept and silly man, it would have actually been one of these so-bad-it's-good films, however, he obviously isn't, and the making of an intentionally 'bad' (I guess that's the word that would be used) movie is a pretty clever trick to play. Depicting the rise and fall of a rap star, 'Fatal' is provoking by its bad taste, its heaviness, its base humour and its outward stupidity. These elements altogether draw an interesting satirical portrait of show business in its most appalling aspect. Moreover, another virtue of the film may come from its filmmaking, (judgement not given by an expert but by an ordinary person) which -as a less biased criteria- seems rather well orchestrated (even if it gets more tedious at the end). Pop culture references of all kind also enrich 'Fatal'.3.5 stars. No kidding.
