Critics Consensus

Final Destination 2 is little more than an excuse to stage elaborate, gory scenes of characters getting killed off.

Nell Minow Common Sense Media Gruesome, ridiculous, really bad waste of time. Rated: 1/5 Dec 24, 2010 Full Review Empire Magazine Rated: 3/5 Dec 30, 2006 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com Pushing the limits of an R rating, this sequel to 2000's surprise hit starts with the blood dripping madly and then amps it up to levels as to now unseen in American horror. Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 19, 2003 Full Review Grant Watson Fiction Machine There is no denying Final Destination 2 is a better film that its predecessor. It is better shot and paced, and smartly delivers exactly what its target market wants. Rated: 7/10 Feb 26, 2025 Full Review Megan Williams Battle Royale With Cheese Despite the occasional flat writing and strange editing, the film takes a familiar concept and executes it in a way that makes it different and interesting. Overall, ‘Final Destination 2’ is a worthy sequel. Oct 29, 2024 Full Review Michael Walsh Nerdist Final Destination 2 is legitimately an excellent movie; it's a fun and suspenseful film that manages to improve on the original in every way while also standing entirely on its own. Jaxon H This is just an even bloodier movie then the first one, the deaths are even more innovative then the first one. However, the movie is still lacking emotional value, and is still relying HEAVILY on shock and suspense value. The acting is still weak, and the dialogue is still tasteless. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/16/25 Full Review Stephen C What the **** were you thinking?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review Eye C I enjoy it more than the first one, that’s not normal, but it is what it is. More deaths more blood more body parts flying all over. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Bruno S Conseguiu ser consistente em relação ao antecessor, não houve queda de qualidade, e soube fazer uma ligação coerente dos fatos de ambos os filmes... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Craig H On par with the first one, love the creative deaths and the whole theme of not being able to escape death. The acting and characters are subpar though. Just a middle of the road decent horror film nothing special. These films are very gimmicky Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/25 Full Review Read all reviews
