Anthropologist Jonathan Drake (Eduard Franz) believes that the men of his family have been cursed for generations by the native South American tribe he studies. Shortly after his brother, Kenneth (Paul Cavanagh), discovers one of the tribe's shrunken heads in his house, he's found murdered and his head goes missing. In pursuit of the tribesman Zutai (Paul Wexler) and a rival scientist (Henry Daniell) who has become a part of the tribe, Drake attempts to end the curse once and for all.

Audience Member Life is too short for sleep-inducing schlock like this. A good actor like Henry Daniell must have been on his uppers to agree to play the demented head shrinker here. The best thing about this incredibly s-l-o-w non-shocker is its title. Read the title, look at the poster, don't bother with the film. (Question: why are so many Z-grade fillers so unbelievably S-L-O-W?! Are they frightened of waking up the back row?) Will Drake be the next victim? Well, you won't really care, but the severed head with the lips sewn together is pretty hardcore for the 1950s.
