Freddy Got Fingered Reviews
Unequivocally one of the most wretched, deeply unfunny things ever committed to film. A bowel movement has more value than this.
I dont get how people cant understand this kind of humour, i laughed from start to end, its silly, totally unpredictable and the fact that tom green got away with it speaks volumes, i enjoyed it a lot. People analyzing this movie as if it would be some deep thing, if you know tom green you know what kind of thing you were getting. I 100% recommend watching this movie once in a lifetime with a not serious approach and enjoy the ride! YOU GOT THE JOBBYY BUDDY!
I'd give this zero stars if I could. Tom Green tried way too hard and was just absolutely terrible. He's never been funny, and I'm still confused as to how this even got approved to be made.
You would not be able to make a movie like this in todays hollywood.
As a straight comedy, this rarely works. But as a meta-commentary of how a studio green lights a film with little to no oversight, it works. Green is clearly taking screenwriting tropes and subverting them. Does that make it a more pleasurable watch? Not really, but it's doing more than you'd think.
You will probably hate it. I loved it because I grew up watching Tom Green and accustomed to the style. If you're offended by very gross out comedy and jokes "so dumb they're funny" it's definitely not for you. It's 5 stars for me, probably 0.5 stars for you. So 3 stars is the compromise.
After seeing this movie in 2003 and again in 2025,it still holds up. The comedy has stood the test of time unlike the comedy movies of its time. 250 thousand dollars on Jewels.
I’m in serious need of stitches every time I see this. It’s hilarious!!!!!!! The scenes where Gord has sausages hanging from around the room and his dad freaks out on him kills me. Bravo Tom Green!!!
How can so many people misunderstand a movie, this film is absolutely hilarious from start to finish - full of original and belly laugh out loud content with the perfect level of absurdity and the grotesque, it’s understandable that people can get turned off by the over the top style and graphic/profane scenes but if you can see this for what it is, the film is brilliant and very funny indeed.
The premise of Freddy Got Fingered is pretty straightforward: on his journey to becoming an animator, Gord Brody (Tom Green) pleasures an elephant, delivers a baby, licks his best friend’s compound fracture, disembowels road kill, and falsely accuses his father of fingering his younger brother Freddy, among other horrors. Once you accept that Freddy Got Fingered simply is what it is and you set the bar fairly low, there are a few laughs to be had, but they are mostly from Gord’s beleaguered dad (Rip Torn) and from the poor kid from across the street. The problem with the movie is the fact that Tom Green’s gross-out routine has never been particularly funny and that most of the attempts at humour don’t have the requisite set-up, sort of like hearing the punchline of a joke without hearing the preamble.
One of the greatest movies ever created!
Terrible movie. Juvenile sense of humor. A waste of Rip Torn. Completely nonsensical plot. By any measure awful. I've never unironically laughed harder or longer at a film in my life. 10/10
This movie is so funny i nearly died laughing. This is just a total joke about all movies and it’s so funny to see the idiotic reviewers not getting the joke. Tom Green is a master of just total rubbish and insanity that it makes this movie a masterpiece
This movie might be a classic, I watched it when it first came out and hated it but now the times caught up to the humor. Very funny, don't take it serious and just have a good time.
Better than Eight Crazy Nights.
The people that dislike this movie or give this movie a low rating, really don't understand the point this film was trying to make, and how genius and funny it is. It serves as a great comedy to turn your brain off and if you watch it trying to make sense of it, it becomes an even better film
"Daddy would like some sausage?" This movie is absolute masterpiece. Is it one of Tom Green's best movies of all time? I say yes.
One of the funniest movies! Definitely not for everyone, but if it is, You'll be laughing the whole movie!
