Great film Great acting!! A masterpiece!!!!
okayyy I have no words to say but whaa speechless on how remarkble this extraordinary film. tadah hands up to all of the cast that did their really best to potray their amazing characters, the personalities and uncanny rare lead, and especially to the director whose really brilliant by making this incredibe film, i dont know what to say but I was astonished, that's all. lasly to the writer that cause this film, you are totally and absolutely Impressive!!!! this handsome man who acted as Lake, I was speechless to your acting performance here, you totally nailed it like what the heck you deserve an award clearly... so good actor!! what i have thought to this lovely movie is be the person whom you really are and choose your happiness and it's you and you only against the world, they don't care coz they are not yours, follow your heart and have some introspection, that's all, thanks to this films it taught a lot in my life about how our life works. eventhough they said it's uncanny coz it's really it but the fact that this is a masterpiece.
The acting may not have been the best, but it was far less than creepy. It just took a little imagination to get beyond conventional thinking and lighten up a bit. It covers material that is rarely spoken of in such hopeful terms.
Strange subject matter but excellent acting.
This film is not interresting . The story is poor. The character does not make sens. Like the mom character change suddenly her job, she was à stripper and become one of the doctor for the CHSLD ( centre hospitalier de soin et de longue durée). And she can change quitte easy the medication of any patient. The movies is not good from the start to the END.
I really Enjoyed Watching this movie , Very nice Story line and the Actors were just Great . I would most likely Watch it again if the opportunity were to come up sometime in the future .
As atonal and unfocused as it (very) often is, there's an enduring sweetness and revolutionary bite never far from the surface. Lajoie is unskilled but effective and Borden's supporting turn is quite strong. This should have been a better, more daring film. What's surprising is that almost nearly was.
Always audacious and amateurish, provocateur Bruce La Bruce gets cookie points for his intriguing (and very timely) choice of themes but it is tough to swallow all the cross-generational provocations found here when what is meant to be a very unconventional story ends up feeling just like your everyday rom com. The performances are excruciatingly bad with actors obviously being cast on looks. Still, for all of its imperfections, it is one of the director's less explicit films and certainly the one that benefited from his highest budget to date. Do not watch it with your grandparents but force it on twinks that are already lining up for their Botox. Love is blind, my dears!
This one is laugh out loud funny. It has it ALL. Handsome Twink you have to stare at, Lesbo, Jungle Fever, Young and Old, Alcoholic slut mom, nudity, underwear scenes!. A MUST see.
I've seen a lot of weird movies on Netflix and this is the weirdest one of them all. I've always liked talking to old men myself because I thought I could learn something from listening to their experiences. It was an odd movie.
While this movie is a bit creepy I liked that it took a chance to explore the aging body and human sexual desire for older skin. While we all need to be loved and touched seeing a handsome young man kiss an aged black man in a nursing home put me off a bit. Then I thought, God be good to me and allow love one more time for this aging body of mine.
The story is relatively predictable however the subject matter is daring and, shall we say, revolutionary ;-) This film is not just about sexual orientation and types but about how the elderly are treated and how wrong that can be.
There are the makings of a poignant Harold and Maude-style drama here, but the movie is so amateurish and eager to be shocking, it winds up feeling creepy.
Demasiado rara para mi, pido un aplauso para el actor Pier-Gabriel Lajoie por hacer tan peculiares escenas amorosas.
Delightful rom-com about a young fella who works in an elderly care home and seduces very, very old men. Sincerely - a really funny and heartwarming film.
Didn't pick this one back in HKLGFF this year because, honestly, I've been scared of Bruce La Bruce's previous work. Surprisingly, this film is rather proper in tone & smooth in narrative, even though sounding a bit far-fetching in story probably.
