Louisa Moore Screen Zealots It may be lacking in star power, but the film has a winning formula that will appeal to those seeking a grown-up romantic comedy. Rated: 2.5 / 5 Nov 28, 2020 Full Review Natasha Alvar Cultured Vultures Rupert Penry-Jones and Natasha Little muster up some credible chemistry as romantic leads, but the comedy side of the film falls flat. Rated: 6/10 Nov 25, 2020 Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT It is rare a movie can hold so steadfastly to tropes and get away with it. This formulaic rom com does so by having leads with fantastic chemistry and a strong supporting cast. Nov 24, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

M T I LOVE this movie! One of the most underrated movies out there. The connection between Luke & Abby was so good. I think many of us have had that instant connection with someone that we couldn't continue. It's very relatable I think. The many different types of relationships that were displayed on the screen were also ones that many people can sympathize with. Kayla's character was the only one who was a bit annoying but that was on purpose to break Luke's limerence memory of her. This was a heartfelt movie that I've watched many times. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/20/25 Full Review Ha T A slow start but fresh take on romantic comedy and very good chemistry between the leads and realistic ending. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/27/24 Full Review BJ M Kind of long and drawn out. By the end I was like just please leave for God's sakes. Blanchard was really good in it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/14/24 Full Review Steven M A beautiful story for those who have navigated tough decisions and have had to make decisions regarding ones desires vs ones responsibilities. Not a romcom, but an inspiring romantic drama. Highly recommend to anyone up for a complex emotional journey. Great cast and solid writing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Gator F She is married with two children and is in town for the funeral of her reclusive brother. He is single and is in town for his high school reunion. While he hopes to meet his sexy high school sweetheart, he does not expect to find her married with children but still with a mad crush on him. He turns to the stranger in his hotel to help him solve the dilemma of how to get rid of his amorous former girlfriend Endearing, sweet chemistry between the two leads. Rarely have I seen such charm in a romantic comedy. While there are definitely some amusing scenes, the ones that rivet you to your chair are the ones between the two leads as they start to fall in love and don't know what to do about it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Audience Member If you want an example of a well-written, well-produced and well-performed movie made on a conservative budget then this is one. Getting To Know You is a simple story told with equal and well-placed measures of drama, comedy and romance. Good performances from leads Natasha Little and Rupert Penry-Jones, and a sparkling comedic supporting turn from Rachel Blanchard. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
