Natasha Alvar The Fiction Department [Girl Haunts Boy] begins simply with a girl meeting a boy, and develops into a thoughtful film about the past and its continued impact on us in the present. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 26, 2024 Full Review Lindsay Press Culturess While the idea of interacting with ghosts may feel like it is a movie to watch more around the Halloween season, Girl Haunts Boy is a film that could be enjoyable at any point of the year. Nov 6, 2024 Full Review Lissete Lanuza Sáenz Fangirlish Ghost stories are a dime a dozen. Ghost stories that are actually about grief, about love, and about the joy that can be found, even in dark times, when someone else really, truly sees you, are very rare indeed. Oct 29, 2024 Full Review Stephanie Malone Morbidly Beautiful "Girl Haunts Boy" is a surprisingly emotional, feel-good flick with a sprinkling of spooky and a wallop of well-realized character drama. It's a cozy Fall treat eager to envelop you in its warmth and tenderness. Steven T I had no clue about this movie, but it was really cute. A pretty unique storyline. Be ready to shed a tear during the last scene in a good way. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/12/25 Full Review Cudalbu R A jewel in this era or reboots and remakes Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/20/25 Full Review Audience Member PG films are meant to be simple, and easy to follow. They capture what it is to be a child, teenager and sometimes adult. Girl Haunts Boy is brilliant because it showcases grief and loneliness that follow a tragedy. Bea I believe represents what we want, but cannot have following tragedy. Cole is lonely, and Bea saves him from that, and yet we learn through the movie that Bea deserves to be free, and Cole needs to grieve. Although it may be cheesy, I personally cried for the last thirty minutes of the film, because accepting the truth versus wanting the opposite are framed in the film. Peyton List and Michael Cimino both have excellent performances, and this movie deserves a rewatch. I hope more PG films can be appreciated for their complexity, just like this one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/14/25 Full Review madison a Such a good movie, it was sad when they won’t see each other again, but it was right for her to go back to her time. You must watch. It was amazing Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/25 Full Review Dylan P At one point, a character said "how do you know?" Five stars. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/25 Full Review Toggo U It was great until the ending. Not sure why the director decided to go for a bittersweet ending, when it could have ended so much better.
