Great movie, but heavy sigh, I had to deduct points for Gaffy trying to destroy the movie with his wildly tragic reductive imaginations, we get it Gaffy you're a simpleton, we are not all overly consuming, duh.

The dog dies. Completely pointless plot point.

Derivative of similar films, doesn’t really live up to its title as it fails to progress in an original, interesting, or entertaining manner due to too many nice characters that never fully succumb to their greed. Ending sunk it into the abyss.

Greedy People film is exactly that! A film about a whole bunch of greedy people who are consumed by wanting everything and lots of money. When I really go back to this film there is no likeable character besides one person and I think that was the point when the story was crafted. There have been a lot of other films with similar storylines that have done a better job executing this premise. Joseph Gordon Levitt does a nice job here with an interesting accent delivery. Halfway through this film really starts to come unglued and doesn’t want to make up it’s mind on what kind of genre it wants to be. While the ending is somewhat bold it’s also very sloppy if that makes sense. Greedy People gets a middle of the road 2 1/2 stars out of 5.

Really good dark comedy like Fargo bit not as quickly or good,bit very fun anyways.

I thought this dark and twisted movie was great. I took a risk on renting it on Amazon Prime and I’m so glad I did.

All plot and very little thematic substance makes a movie whacky. This overstuffed star filled cast brings some charm, but without further developing the characters, some decent acting washes out. Its cinematography and soundtrack aren’t good enough for this to be a movie to watch for the vibes. Its plot moves fast and effectively but so does attention in 2024. Bad strategy for entertainment value. B-

The plot went off too abruptly killing too many people which seems somewhat illogical.

Too many plot twists for it's own good. JGL is good, but other than that, a thoroughly mediocre movie.

This was a ride of a film. I enjoyed it a lot and it reminded me of burn after reading. Everyone all over the place is a genre in and of itself. You get many surprises along the way here and won't be disappointed. I was quite pleasantly surprised after watching. Joseph gordon levitt is great and so were the rest of the cast. I am surprised this film wasn't bigger, but clearly wasn't advertised much compared to other big box films. There was something happy go lucky about the movie despite all the chaos throughout. I was happy about it and feel like there isn't much else to compare it to - quite a unique movie.

Awful film. Ending is so rushed and ruins a mediocre middle.

The pregnant wife acting was so baddddddddd. The plot is kinda ok, but the directing is bad. The ending kinda ok. Overall not fun

Don't let the whimsical premise fool you into thinking this is a light-hearted comedy; Greedy People is far darker and becomes a disturbing crime noir in the second half. There are just enough entertaining scenes to keep viewers watching, but it doesn't change the fact that it's an okay movie.

Coen-esque, funny and dark.

Greedy People starts with a "lighthearted killing" and you think it's going to go the usual cover-up route...but the film is trying to say something. About how we're woven together, mostly over our selfishness.

Give this one a shot. It is a great ride! It is SPOT ON with the realities of a homegrown small town. I highly recommend NOT watching the trailer, it gives away too many surprises.

Enjoyed the movie, pretty funny, story was interesting, but it felt like something was missing

Starts off slow but quickly spirals into a web of lies mystery in which the audience knows everything except what will happen next. I liked it! Action, Comedy, suspense, This movie has it. would recommend for a movie night.
