Gridiron Gang Reviews
Even if this type of movie "isn't your cup of tea", this is a must watch. It's a movie about the power of love, community, and the human condition. It shows the importance of having someone in your corner, having someone show up for you... The things we can accomplish when we come together knows no bounds. Much love y'all 🤍🖤🫡
So good. The Rock delivered big time.
If you want to watch a movie with motivation speeches, this is definitely for you.
Dissagree with the critics entirely on this one. The events dipicted inspired the hell out of me, I felt Dwayne just did alright, (he could've shown more emotion), and I thought the movie was amazing. 85/100
Absolute cheese, but good stringing cheese. Good to see the Rock playing an actually character. All been done before but a worthy effort. Worth a watch
I do not enjoy "the Rock",, lol 😂. Just realize part of his most recent rise in stardom is because of affiliations in the industry w much of the corruption going on in our nation. He will do and has done whatever it takes to gain success and money . He not a patriot and cares very little about the people of our nation. He is a terrible actor and has had his careee handed to him on a silver platter ,, just realize when you support this actor you are supporting the corruption thay is going to ultimately cost you ,, your freedom and the freedom of your children'/ and grand children. We all need to be more hyper vigilant of what's happening. It is as serious as anything you have ever been cognizant of in your life Stop supporting actors who are going along w this just to gain wealth and prosperity.
rewatched it after years; have to say this is one of the rock's best works.
Great movie. Love football movies. This one keeps you interested. Too bad they can't win it all though.
It is by the numbers but it works.
Fair, classic, cliche feel-good story about a coach taking a bunch of "losers" and turning them into winners. Its nice its based on a true story and it really has some good moments but overall it's not amazing by any means. Good flick to watch once though.
Good movie. Good story. Worth the watch
Typically weak, sentimental, led by an amazing man who unfortunately can't act… the glimpses of what this should have been are good, but overall it's just another mediocre Sports movie
Not like "Remember the Titans" in a long run, but the strength is admired with a different strategy of avoiding clichés with minimal engaging success over its conflicting, melodramatically overdone topic rightfully supported by Dwayne Johnson's counseling coaching performative material. (B)
It's a little bit corny at times, but that don't change the realism behind this story. The young cast is full of good actors too. These characters are good kids from hard situations that just need somebody to believe in them for once. Hard not to get behind that idea.
About as bland, predictable and cliche as you could possibly imagine.
Despite an overreliance on clichés, it's an inspiring sport drama with emotionally rewarding moments and a charming lead performance from Dwayne Johnson.
Very inspirational. Great ensemble cast. That movie made me cry and is in the same caliber as Remember the Titans.
Story/Screenplay: (3.5/5) I don't much care for "based on a true story" stories, but this one is OK. Closer to reality than I would have thought. Duration/Tempo: (3/5) At 2 hours and 5 minutes, it's a very long movie that felt about the same. Would have liked to see faster pacing to shorten the film by 15 minutes. Cast & Crew: (3.5/5) Dwayne Johnson dominates the film. He does a good job acting, too. Summary: (3.5/5) The story and cast were OK. The film felt a little long. Overall, a shaky thumbs up.
This sports drama is really good. The Rock, Xzibit, and the rest of the cast did an excellent job in this movie. It's about working together as a team and proving to family, friends, and the rest of the world that anyone is worthy of greatness. The plot to the movie was really good and very inspirational. Anyone would enjoy this movie. It's worth seeing. Check it out.
