Matthew Rozsa matthewrozsa.com Watched on its own, "The Grudge 3" is a disappointment; viewed after a better horror film - such as "Saw VI," also released in 2009 - and it teaches valuable lessons. Rated: 1.25/4 Jan 2, 2021 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Violence, gore, cursing in predictable sequel. Rated: 2/5 Feb 7, 2020 Full Review Heather Wixson Dread Central The Grudge 3 isn't perfect, and sometimes the film feels like it's trying a little too hard to emulate Shimizu's work. Ultimately though, the 3rd act left me feeling like the series had finally come to a satisfying resolution. Rated: 3/5 Aug 10, 2011 Full Review Steve Biodrowski Cinefantastique Perhaps the most perplexing cinematic mystery of the new millenium is why and how Ghosthouse Productions managed to run their Grudge franchise into the depths of the direct-to-video abyss so quickly. Jules N Je pense que les scénaristes de ce film n'ont aucun instinct de survie pour écrire ça Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review James B I was interested to watch it and I knew it could be bad but my god is this an awful direct to video sequel that is completely unnecessary. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/25 Full Review Lloyd S I knew it was garbage, but I wanted to check it out. It's 100% trash. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/25 Full Review Scott M There's no way to sugarcoat it, this movie just kind of sucks all around. Not only does it completely misunderstand what makes the earlier entries scary, it completely undermines the entire premise on which the franchise is built. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/25 Full Review Gianvito A The one i liked less, i still like it but i expected more Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is worse than the second movie. It is boring and has nothing to it. More stupid characters, boring scenes that fill the movie, and barely scary deaths by or not the Grudge. The movie has nothing to it and it has no enjoyment to it. I did like the gangster in the movie who killed his family, he was cool (literally). I liked his swag and how he walks. (Sorry I just had to). This movie is stupider than stupid. I rate this movie a 3/10 (Bad). Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
