Danielle B I think I would have enjoyed this more if I knew it was more a one-woman-show than a true stand-up act. I felt myself wanting to get to see more of her humanity because of that, wanted her to loosen up a bit and be more conversational, but I don't know if that's what she was going for. This show felt better suited for a black box stage than a comic special. I love Hannah in Hacks. She's new on the scene, definitely talented, and is already challenging herself to break the formula here, even if it didn't entirely hit the mark. I sense she's finding her voice as an artist and this is a stepping stone in that journey. But honestly? This felt less like a stand-up special and more like an extended acting exercise with a side of activism. Climate change, feminism, understanding women—it’s all important stuff, but when half the set feels like a TED Talk, it’s hard to stay engaged. That being said, Einbinder *is* talented. You can tell she’s a much stronger actress than a stand-up comic at this stage, but there’s definitely potential. A few jokes landed, a few chuckles here and there, but nothing that really stuck with me. It felt like she was testing the waters more than delivering a polished hour.
