Watched this movie after unfriended and had to say it's probably a copy. However, it's miles better. It's short and snappy. Kills are no where near as brutal as Unfriended but still, the storyline is better and it leaves mystery. Who was the spirit that they made up?

Boring and predictable. For as short as it is, it was way too long.

Does it deserve 99% rotten tomatoes? No. But nonetheless is it worth watching? Oh for sure. The whole film takes place during a zoom call during quarantine, which, I KNOW, sounds stupid, but the film handles this premise in a surprisingly non-stupid way that I’d even go as far to call clever. (Mostly) everything about it seems very realistic, from the characters to their dialogue to the way they act: all very realistic. Watching it makes it seem like you’re in the call with them, which I thought added to the scariness. And AS FOR the scariness, it really is a scary movie!! The last 20 minutes had my heart racccing. Overall, consider watching it! It’s a good time and a fun way to pass an hour by! My rotten tomatoes score: 83/100 🍅

I spent a lot of time trying to find movies of this genre with novel concepts, that keep me engaged. From start to finish I didn’t take my eyes of the screen. I don’t do that very often. If you are a fan of the genre, you will not be disappointed.

ummm i watched it because of high rating and man that was a mistake

Host is easily the most tense movie I've ever watched in my life. This movie's pacing is really great. For a movie done by a small team and during quarantine, Host is a great watch, unlike what you'd probably expect. The sound editing and visuals are incredible. Easily one of my favorite horror movies of all time.

I don’t know if it was scarier to go back to 2020 or the movie in general but it was real good. I remembered watching Blair Witch Project years ago and feeling similarly

I dont buy into the scenario. A zoom based flick that starts with multiscreen but moves to one screen if an effect is needed. Not original, its been done better.

This movie is the epitome that circumstances and environmental factors affect what people think of something or someone, if you read every critic review of it, you will realize that most if not all of them are praising it for the quarantine-related horror, as apparently looks like everyone at the moment was genuinely scared for their life due to covid-19, and how they were forced to stay in lockdown...just read their reviews. Now watch the movie nowadays, with ur usual neutral emotions and unaffected perspective....yeah....redundant jumpscares...non-existent plot, expected scenario, and the most awful of all, cringe-acting with a logical plot hole that you would just stare at and be like, Why the fuck? Forgettable, and not recommended in general. (My positive rating is just for the visual effects in some scenes, and Radina Drandova UwU).

Shat my pants many times. Really good build up of suspense. If you liked the first paranormal activity then you’ll like this.

Thought this movie was a bit slow paced, but overall, I thought it was a pretty decent movie. I will say, however, I thought the cast and crew did a good job at creating suspense

Is an hour long Zoom call really a movie? When it's this much fun, why not? Creepy and entertaining, definitely recommend it.

Totally Awe inspiring, and the best movie in such a short duration with so many jump scares along with the best way to roll out the credits. Planning to watch it alone at night be ready to be scared AF...
