Most of the credit goes to director/co-writer Ariane Louis-Seize and her well-chosen lead Sara Montpetit as Sasha. Nice bit of casting in Montpetit as she brings a quite confidence to the role of an anything but confident teen vampire who can't even get her fangs to make an appearance. But she is a 'humanist vampire. Or is that just a convenient cover? Add in her second in teen angst, F茅lix-Antoine B茅nard, as Paul, and you have quite the miserable pair. Benard verges on overplaying it as the oddball wallflower, but gets better as his character is developed more as the film goes along. I ended up very much pulling for Paul and Sasha. Misfits as they are, with Paul being bullied and Sasha getting a hard time from her family for not helping out with the hunting. But wait, she has compassion for human suffering? There's some funny bits to go along with the generally light tone. That tone works very well with the comedic element and these characters. Key to some of the funnier moments is No茅mie O'Farrell as Sasha's cousin Denise, who has no issues or problems w/ doing some hunting and feeding while riding Sasha for her inneffectual nature. O'Farrell shows a natural skill with dark comedy, both in how to deliver a line that's funny and physical comedy. Einfach gen眉sslich am Blutbeutel schl眉rfen und Tr眉bsal blasen, mehr m枚chte Vampirin Sasha gar nicht. Doch ihre Familie dr盲ngt sie in eine Rolle die sie nicht annehmen m枚chte, denn Sasha mag das t枚ten nicht. Als sie jedoch den chronisch Selbstmord gef盲hrdeten Paul kennenlernt, scheint sie endlich jemanden gefunden zu haben der sie versteht. Feinf眉hlige Vampirin sucht lebensm眉des Opfer geht ca. 90 Minuten und ist ab 16 Jahren freigegeben. Wir haben hier eine Horror-Kom枚die aus Frankreich, 眉ber zwei leicht depressive Teenager die nichts weiter wollen als Emo m盲脽ig in sich gekehrt in die Welt zu blicken. Coming-of-Age Geschichten und ich werden wohl keine Freunde mehr, dabei bietet die Story einen Blick in die Seele von Teenagern die nicht in die Rolle passen in der sie reingeh枚ren sollen, tiefsinnig. Allerdings sind mir pers枚nlich die beiden Hauptfiguren nicht nur ziemlich egal, ich fand sie auch unsympathisch und egoistisch. Aber so sind nunmal Teenager und das geh枚rt zum erwachsen werden dazu, auch bei Vampiren, wahrscheinlich. Wirklich viel zu lachen gab es f眉r mich nicht, daf眉r mochte ich denn melancholischen Unterton. Die Familie von Sasha ist zur Abwechslung mal keine Grafenfamilie die irgendwo in Transelvanien mordet, erfrischend. Das sich die 1,5h echt gezogen haben lag haupts盲chlich daran das man viel Zeit darauf verschwendet die beiden einfach nur da stehen zu lassen ohne das was passiert, f眉r mich jedenfalls. Das Finale ist dann der vorhersehbare Plot der geschieht, plus das die beiden zuviel Matrix geschaut haben. Am Ende bleibt ein Werk das f眉r mich maximal Ok war, die Story ist an sich nicht schlecht und auch die Idee was gesagt werden will passt. Allerdings sind die Figuren uninteressant und mit Blick auf ihre Eltern eben auch echt egoistisch. Von mir bekommt der Film 6/10 Punkten. Wieso die Vampire 盲lter werden liegt wohl an der k眉nstlerischen Freiheit, genauso wie das quatschen 眉ber Vampirklischees.
