I Capture the Castle Reviews
This is quite a pleasant watch - its an easy story to follow, with perfectly nice characters. It has a dreamy feel to it, most of the time, with narration provided by the main character, an adolescent called Cassandra. It has a naivete to it and if your keen on coming of age type watches, more specifically of period dramas (in this case set in the 1930s I believe) then you'll likely find this enjoyable. It looked, to me, like a longer, film version of a BBC 온라인카지노추천 show - I think its part funded by the BBC, so that would make sense. Also, Henry Cavill is in this, playing Stephen Colley (this film obviously dated from before he took on the role of Superman, of course). Bill Nighy also appears, playing the main families father, James. He gives a pretty solid performance. Its a perfectly watchable film, although the plot is a little plain - its a reasonable watch and if it sounds of interest to you then yes, I suppose I would recommend it.
I was just reading about "I Capture the Castle" and it brought back to me what a well above average film this is, based on an outstanding book. Well worth catching if you have a chance.
A simple but effective film about a family moving to gorgeous castle in remote English Countryside, and the father of the family is trying to write a follow up book to his first & only hit novel. The film focuses largely on the girls of the family especially Cassandra played to perfection by the stunning Romola Garai. It's focuses on the hard times, loves gained & lost. Cassandra's unconditional love for most is the strength of the film. The film has a soft look & terrific costumes, a great romantic film that will no doubt appeal to female audiences.
1930s England... It felt a little like a Jane Austen coming of age story of first loves in hard times.... I enjoyed it quite a bit more than I thought I would!
Romantic coming-of-age period drama with some quirky elements thrown in. There's nothing spectacular about this storyline but it's well made.
Perhaps, Frank Sinatra might have made the song, 'The ladies are Dalmatians, not 101, but 2 together.' Really fortunate. The lady in the poster likes Dalmatians. She is sitting on the grass, like one. It seems, that tomatoes are generally rotten, like chrc4work.com .
I really loved this, even after only reading the book little over a week ago. The plot still seemed fresh, and I thought the right actors were chosen for the roles, especially Romola Garai who played Cassandra. I found her really endearing! I did not realise that the actor who played Elliot in ET played Simon Cotton!
A nostalgically bittersweet and slightly melancholy view of first love with beautiful sets and scenes and a wonderful Cast to bring Dodie Smith's lovely book to the screen. It touched my heart.
Does a surprisingly good job at adapting the book, which is quite impressive especially considering the length of the book. Sweet, simple, and enjoyable.
A mixed up love story with amazing performances from Bill Nighy and Romola Garai; the whole cast is brilliant, really.
Touching in all aspects, addicting, and eye catching....this movie has it all. Being drawn in to the landscape one can see why anyone would want to live in a castle. Beautifully directed, beautifully scripted, along with beautiful actors and actresses. You will want to watch this movie again and again and again.
I forgot how much I really enjoyed this movie. I saw it many years ago and recently had the chance to see it again. It was a wonderful story, very British, very sad but also very good. I even thought Paul Blucas, who is extremely good looking, fairly believeable. Romola Garai was wonderful and very sympathetic. I recommend it, if you haven't seen it.
