Great acting and beautiful original movie. However, the script could be a little more assertive specially in terms of the father. It`s worth the ride!

it started off very good but then fall into telling the writer opinion with a report and not through the film which was very disappointing!

I really loved it. It was able to put into words, my own thoughts a times in a way that I never could. I loved the sound track. The entirety of it, really hits an emotional chord that I feel a variety of people could connect to.

The idea is interesting and the script is basically quite clever as well, but the director is obviously quite crappy as he can't get the story to captivate the audience, at least not me. Dan Stevens is quite excellent, but everything just drags along endlessly and the ending is just dumb. 3/10 points.

I am so taken with this film. The script is very clever and witty and the POV is vanishingly rare in films, that of a successful middle aged woman wrestling with the messiness of that age—work politics, deadlines, ailing parents—who is nevertheless the unapologetic romantic lead. There is no sense of her as diminished by age or baggage but rather the film sees her as a full person worthy of a relationship as rich as her life. Maren Eggert is superb—so expressive and appealing, even when she's being petty or selfish. And Dan Stevens brings a sweet earnestness to a role that could have been creepy! The ending will leave you with so much to think about. I just want more folks to watch so I have people to discuss it with! If you love the smart romantic comedies of the 30s and 40s, where flawed grown ups navigated heightened scenarios with humor and class, you will love this.

Although I don't usually like to read my movies (subtitled, original in German), the story was so strong and the acting well done, that I kept going. What a pleasure this movie was, exploring the concepts of happiness, loneliness, and, ultimately, human growth. I highly recommend this movie. Do we need friction to achieve personal and emotional growth? Would we grow in a perfect, frictionless, love relationship? The movie posits that we probably wouldn't. It's hard not to walk away from this movie thinking about loneliness, love, and growth.

An unexpectedly delightful romantic Rom Com when A1 possibilities seem endless. The possibilities seem so real with just a little imagination. Loved it.

Complex and endearing. Dan Stevens' android is up there with Brent Spiner's. The pacing is a bit slow but the subtext kept our attention.

Normally I avoid films with sub-titles, however, this peaked my interest and I am so glad it did. Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining. Lovely concept

Would you really turn down the chance of living with gorgeous Dan Stevens even if he was a robot? Certainly not, especially when he's learned not to deliver cheesy 'romantic' lines and turns out to be much more faithful, considerate, sensitive and helpful than most human males! The woman who rejects him is a very difficult character, but even she succumbs in the end and goes to find him sitting waiting for her. Great acting from Dan as he develops from worst date ever to a partner no woman would be ashamed to introduce as her significant other. Great fun and tugs at the emotions too.

A lovely idea and it passes the time, but it is not just the programmed robot who lacks emotion. There are a few monologues in the film that try to explain the conflict of having a machine that tries to act as a human. These scenes always seemed very contrived. It would have been better to just concentrate on one of the aspects and act it out instead of lecturing on it.

Rom-com with a different twist - very engaging story and acting, plus some really serious questions about the "humanity" of AI. Some special details like the black German indirectly mentioning how reactions he's gotten, certainly some racist, are like the ones a new being like Tom would get. Definitely would want to watch it again in German - my wife requested for it to be in Portuguese.

Great movie, great acting, Stevens was a great robot. He appears to have gotten the whole idea of a robot down. Ending left room for your own decision as to what happens.

We borrowed the DVD from the library, intrigued by the premise. We both really enjoyed it. The more I think about it -- it's a movie that doesn't try to tell you what to think or how to feel about it. This was refreshing! An intelligent, thoughtful, playful movie with much that was amusing and much that was thought-provoking and even profound and heartbreaking. A movie that will stay with us. Much credit to the actors and writer-director Maria Schrader. The whole production original, fine, and satisfying.

Loved it. There is no perfect man which is why this film is particularly enjoyable. It's like watching a dream.

i actually really loved this! it asks an interesting question & hands down i think this one is the best execution of the subject matter that I've seen... not that I've seen many, mind you. overall it was funny, cute, & intriguing. would definitely recommend.

I'm Your Man is a very clever and intelligent film about love and destiny. It's a very thoughtful film that is a blend of comedy, drama and sci-fi. German director Maria Schrader has crafted a film that is equal parts charming and smart. Dr Alma Feser is a leading archeologist in Berlin. She is co opted into a study that will see her receive extra funds for her work. The study involves AI robots and testing their suitablity to actually become partners with humans. Alma is sent 'Tom' for three weeks and although she is very luke warm on the idea eventually comes to like his company. Alma is lonely but can't really connect with the idea of a robot filling that hole. The film beautifully handles the philosophical questions of human existence and also the time honoured thought of whether robots can truly have human feelings. It's all done in a very charming and sometimes funny way. Maren Eggert and Dan Stevens are superb in the feature roles, adding a warmth and generosity to ther roles. I really enjoyed this film. It's very smart and engaging.

A wonderfully unique performance by Dan Stevens as Tom, a companion, carries a film that's slow paced, but rewarding.  The German-Language picture, brings up some pretty interesting questions about life, openness, and human's ability to adapt.  There are several good laughs, to go along with the overall feeling of delight that should go along with watching.  Nobody plays bland like Stevens and this is the perfect role.  Maren Eggert, and Stevens have a wonderful comedic and romantic chemistry.  It's a concept that seems wacky, but it's very emotional and flat out works.  This film is a journey that may be different for everyone, but should be cerebral.  Final Score: 8/10

Engaging. Excellent acting by major and minor characters. Tremendous conceptually and a well written script.
