The In-Laws Reviews
One of the better underrated comedies with a top cast! Genius and laughter guaranteed.
The unexpected chemistry of the leads and the zany premise are not enough for me to ever consider rewatching this early 2000's spy/action comedy. It's like the screenwriter saw James Cameron's True Lies and wanted to splice the essence of that film with a full-fledged comedy starring Brooks and Douglas.
A fun cast made it a lot of fun even if its nothing new.
One of the most inferior remakes I have ever seen. Despite getting some laughs out of Albert Brooks, the 2003 remake of The In-Laws proves that you can't beat the 1979 original with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin, so please just watch that film instead of this abysmal remake.
It's pretty clichéd, but I thought that there were some pretty entertaining and funny moments in the film to be a good time. I haven't seen the original though. 7/10
Mike Douglas and Al Brooks...you're better than this pap. Guess that explains why I'd never watched this previously.
Very funny, lots of laugh out loud moments. The torpedo at the end was a bit stupid and let the film down though. There's not too much violence so can be good for families too.
An unfunny comedy is the only way to describe this film. Writing was boring, direction was boring, it was just a boring, unfunny movie.
The In-Laws is an fast paced, funny movie that brings together an over the top secret agent and a bored with life foot doctor whose only link is their children who are about to be married.....the film is entertaining and the cast work well together...
Interesting plot...a bit far-fetched but quite entertaining. Michael Douglas & Albert Brooks are pretty darn funny...and there's always the amazing Candice Bergen to add to the list. It's a good hour & a half to waste...pretty cute & entertaining film.
