Jiminy Glick in Lalawood Reviews
OK, I am not only an SC온라인카지노추천 fan, but I was also a huge Jiminy Glick fan. And I love this film! Love it! And I am fully aware this film had no mainstream appeal, this was narrowcasting 101. Most of the gags were very inside, especially the Lynch parody angle. If you came into this film with zero background on Short and his background, you were going to be lost. But if you are initiated, brilliant!!
Martin Short is always great as Jiminy Glick. The rest of the movie ... less so.
Some people just don't get it. This movie is not mainstream, it is Short at his SC온라인카지노추천 best. I laughed so many times. If you liked the 온라인카지노추천 show, this is golden. If you have no background, you will be clueless.
I am a big fan of Glick. I would have much preferred a PG 13 version. The crude sexual humor added nothing to the formula. I liked it well enough to sit through the whole thing, but I wouldn't watch it again like I have the Comedy Central Glick programs.
A stupidly decent waste of 90 minutes... loaded with Hollywood names. Hooks and Short share a funny scene or two, but Glick works a lil better in small doses.
'Jiminy Glick in Lalawood' makes films with the likes of 'Vampires Suck' look like Oscar material. It doesn't get worse than this!
Dreadfully underrated. Martin Short rarely is well-received on the big screen, but seeing as he wrote and produced "Lalawood," his talent is put to good use. His performances as Glick and David Lynch are both top notch-- his mannerisms alone consistently make me laugh out loud. John Michael Higgins is also very funny as Andre Devine. Not 100% of the jokes connect, but it remains an interesting and very absurd send-up of Hollywood and film critics. STAB!
I couldnt stand the 온라인카지노추천 show so what makes anyone think I'd like this crap? I watched 15 seconds of this. When Martin Short opened his mouth I turned it off. How about THAT for bad impressions?
not what the show was at all...the funniest part is the littlest cockroach.. and stuff here and there...be warned the show is classic this movie is misleading taking place in Canada (why lala wood) with really no interviews..martin shorts awesome but this movie has no plot and stinks.one of the worst movies you'll see
When Martin Short dons the fat suit as Jiminy Glick, the talk show host from Butte, Montana, he's hilarious. This film about that character, created by Short for Comedy Central, his mostly forgettable. It's chock full of improvised dialog and a sort of mystery plot that gives Martin an excuse to do his best David Lynch. Everything else involves Jiminy with his wife Dixie (Jan Hooks) and their two sons, hilariously named Matthew and Modine, visiting the Toronto Film Festival. It's there that Jiminy asks his signature rude questions of people like Steve Martin and Kurt Russell, but then falls asleep when they answer. Again, mostly forgettable.
Possibly the best movie Martin Shore has ever done. I was rolling on the floor. The star studded cast was bliinding. You'll want to add this to your classic comedy collection asap!
