Worst movie I've ever seen. I made an account just to rate it. -100000/10. I'm never watching another movie with anyone associated with this movie again. The fact that this has anything above a 1 star blows my mind.

While the long shots, film styling, and sound design hint at artistic ambition, the execution feels lazy. The story lacks stakes entirely, and the characters are frustratingly flat, inhabiting a narrative that, though visually appealing, plods along without purpose. The plot progresses not because of the characters’ choices or motivations but simply because it’s required to. A poorly integrated B plot is haphazardly thrown in, adding nothing of value to the main story. Instead of enhancing the narrative, it creates a sense of narrative indigestion, leaving the psychological “thriller” label feeling hollow. The repeated defense from critics that “it’s intentionally infuriating” feels more like an excuse for poor filmmaking. It’s possible to create a deliberately frustrating experience while still delivering a strong, engaging story. Here, the director undermines the audience’s trust, resulting in a deeply disappointing experience.

WORST MOVIE EVER!! I want my life back!! You are forced watch the most ridiculous situation ever and you are waiting for a resolution that makes sense of the absolutely stupid premise and then……………………………………NOTHING!!!! It’s the stupidest, sorry, who paid for this? Who read this script and went, YES!! A movie WITH NO POINT, that’s going to be a HIT! FU to everyone involved in this pile of garbage.

This movie provokes fury and boredom in equal parts. Fury for having lost part of your life watching it and boredom because it adds nothing to the history of cinema. The creators were probably drunk with hubris when they tried to sell this as something worthy of being shown on a screen. Bad movie not because it's Indie, because it's bad because it is.

It was really weird. Also annoying because there doesn’t seem to be a story of why. It is just a kid being weird. Also he 3 million percent would have been caught. But the movie just overlooks a lot of stuff to avoid that.

One of the shittiest movie i've ever watched.. The lingering of the scenes makes it so boring. Very bad story line. Part of the movie about the little girl has nothing to do with the movie. No ending just nothing. Worst production ever... never watching anything this producer makes ever again..

Fui enganado, essa é a sensação de pós filme. Um time estelar de atores fazem um filme que inclusive tem menções a festivais, que deixa muito a desejar. A edição lenta, causa mesmo um bom suspense, e com isso nos levamos pela história esperando o climax que nunca chega, e quando os créditos começam, você pensa, o que foi que perdi? A sensação é que o filme vai ter uma continuação, pois não se tem uma conclusão, e com isso ficamos a ver navios.

I liked it. Kept me on my sit not knowing what came next. The ending is unsettling you and leaves you thinking for days. I called my dad afterwards :-/ Its a hard one to shake off

Literally the worst movie ever, the boy locks his parents in a hole, they shit in a bag, almost starve to death and in the end they became a normal family, just it.

The movie is horrible, total waste of your time, my tip is don't watch it, a forgotten movie that didn't happen. O filme é horrível, perda total do seu tempo, minha dica é não assista, um filme esquecivel que não aconteceu.

I'll give John And The Hole one thing to credit. It certainly kept me engaged. Though as others may tell you its ending was a bit artsy-fartsy for me! Why do we need these pompous intelligent endings when the writer/director have an opportunity to leave their audience entertained? The acting was great and the story was slow burn but compelling, but it fell short at the end. Think of a twisted 'Ferris Buellers Day off' with an ending that says "I'm spent and dont really care now!"
