Wonderful. Inventive/interesting/thoughtful/emotional. Loved it.

Amazing movie ! Amazing !

I picked this film, almost blindfolded. I knew little about it, but it took only a few minutes to really dig it. Great editing, original and playful. Lovely shots and effects. A story that's funny, absurd, sad and mysterious. It's also very cool that it's told from a film's point of view at times. The first 40 minutes glides easily by and it got me hooked. I needed to eat some sour facts that i didn't like, but after that it was a plesant watch for a while. Sadly, the ball keeps on rolling. And rolling. And rolling. It turns into a farce. It's a mysterious film with ups and downs, but the uplifting start is outnumbered by poorer moments the last half of the film. A bit artistic, almost intelligent but it does not got that last brick on lock. Allright acting, original plot and pretty imagery saves a poorer grade. This is not a poor film, but I'm sad that all the great potential turned out slightly above mediocre. 6.5 out of 10 suitcases.

A Dark heady cocktail of genres...

I'm reminded of a negative review I once read for "Stoker" (a film I actually like quite a bit) -- what compels a story? Or what makes a story compelling? Is a compelling story enough, or is what you do with it? I say this on the heels of "Just Another Love Story", a movie that sticks to its title in -- similar to "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" and "Seven Psychopaths" -- its obsession in its tributes, homages, and every other play on the word. "Love Story" is a film noir, and it has all the trappings. Writer-director Ole Bornedal has a Tarantino-y Hans Landa sort of grin: isn't this all just so exciting? Short answer: fuck yes. It's exciting as hell, even if the suspense of something icy, violent and foreign isn't your shit. It so happens to be mine. Cheers to Anders W. Berthelsen's lead performance. "Just Another Love Story" may be a tad TOO melodramatic, but so what if it has a little kooky fun. I had a killing. The black comedy is in the tale of mistaken identity, but the punishment is in the fall. Meaning even if you laugh at its pain, you can still feel it. Sucks to know Bornedal's last work of note was "The Possession".

4/5 --- Film noir with a twist, a dark drama with some psychology in it, interesting characters of Jonas and Julia...and how their lives collide one moment changing everything else. A well told original story of that mistaken identity...and how one sees life as "green on the other side", so you want to switch and see how it really is. The pacing is a bit slow, but overall works - probably better if I wasn't kinda restless already. The actress Rebecca Hemse does a superb job with her role, emotional and lost...and I kept thinking who played real Sebastion, actor Nikolaj Lie Kaas, whom I've seen before...googled him and yes, he is in one of my fav films "Brødre", another Danish film [that got remade into USA's "Brothers"]. Connie Nielsen is great in that...also stars Ulrich Thomsen, just saw in "The Silence", 4.5/5! Everything is connected!! A sort of haunting melody plays throughout, with some nice wide landscape shots to set the scene/tone, very atmospheric. Just realized Danish director Ole Bornedal also did "I Am Dina", another film I really enjoyed 4.5/5 :) there are alot of similar characteristics, a traumatized woman trying to get back her life after the men disappoint her or she had some long of psychological damage/incident. Great combo films, dark but somehow with a quiet powerful [dissuading] message.

Life in the suburbs as a father of two has worn down Jonas. When a victim of a car crash mistakes him for her boyfriend Sebastian, things take a very dramatic turn as the line between truth and deception is erased.

Best crime thriller!

A surprisingly good thriller. OK, not surprising, Danish. and many of my Danish favorites in it. Spooky.

An interesting premise that borrows allot of better films that never fully come together. At times it's very interesting, but for the most part Just Another Love Story is just too formulaic (especially the anti-climatic ending).

A more than solid movie that in some scenes feels a bit pretentious, but it's still well made and tells a solid story. I liked the dynamic of the last act with Sebastian and Jonas each pretending to be the other. The movie sort of drags a bit even if it isn't that long but it never really hurts the overall experience all that much. Really good thriller.

There is a massive flaw in this film that I really cannot completely overlook, but I enjoyed the rest of the movie enough that I find myself willing to forgive it. In a weird Noirish sense, this movie is a remake of "While You Were Sleeping," Strange that Europeans seems to be much better at reimagining American themes than visa versa.

This is NOT just another love story by any means. With a fresh and original plot, this film shows how love can be misunderstood, but also a feeling that can fulfill ones seemingly lost life.

The impressive use of cinematic language in this highly polished soapy thriller can't disguise that the believability factor of the protagonist is close to a zero.

Fantastic triller , great plot , the music , the silence and the way story unfolds is absolutely amazing.

Watch a movie with me and you'll see, I can pretty much predict what is going to happen next. I have seen it "all" in movies, so when I can't guess what is next, when a movie surprises me for being written so well, filling every aspect of the plot and delivering at the right time, that's what I call an awesome movie. "Just Another Love Story" is that and more, impressive and well paced, not a dull moment, I would say: just for people who really love and understand movies!

A mesmerizing noir thriller. It grabs your attention from the opening scenes: three "love stories" which may not be quite what they seem... the clever plot will keep you glued to the screen until the ending credits. The cinematography is absolutely amazing - the car crash scene is truly something I've never seen before. It's been quite some time since I watched this movie but the images from the wintry road are still in my head.
