Just Mercy Reviews
Fabulous movie. Highly emotional. Hard to think that humans still do that to each other
Very good. It's worth seeing again.
Compelling, heart-wrenching, and a much needed story to tell. Jamie and Michael B Jordan deliver an emotional re-telling of injustice of the American justice system. The film reminds us the good in humanity, but also the required mercy that is bestowed on each of us today. We can't rewrite our past, but we can shape a more loving future.
Well, I cried despite fighting those tears
An excellent film with great performances and powerful message about a true injustice we face in our world.
The film "Just Mercy" is a remarkable piece of cinema, featuring standout performances from Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, and Brie Larson. With a cast of this caliber, it's no surprise that the movie captivates audiences. The story revolves around a dedicated lawyer striving to uncover the truth surrounding a man, portrayed by Jamie Foxx, who has been wrongfully imprisoned. The lawyer's mission is to do everything possible to prevent this man from spending the rest of his life behind bars. The acting in this film is phenomenal, and it has garnered widespread acclaim from viewers. It's one of those films you can watch time and again, and each viewing offers the same emotional impact as the first. The casting team did an exceptional job assembling this talented ensemble, allowing us to accompany them on their harrowing journey. The screenplay is outstanding, and the director's vision effectively brings the characters and their experiences to life. The direction is incredibly tight, leaving little room for confusion. While there may be a few minor plot inconsistencies, they are insignificant enough not to detract from the overall experience. Instead, they leave you yearning for more. Destin Daniel Cretton is rapidly establishing himself as a remarkable director. I would be thrilled to see one of my scripts come to life under his guidance; he has a unique ability to construct compelling narratives and his direction is simply phenomenal. This film is a must-see, deserving all the accolades for its powerful storytelling and executed themes. I still can’t believe I discovered it on a streaming platform rather than in theaters, and I sincerely hope it gets a chance for a wide theatrical release in the future.
Just watch it. It's amazing
"Just Mercy" is a 2019 film based on the true story of Bryan Stevenson, a lawyer who fights to defend Walter McMillian from being sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit. On paper, this seems like a made for 온라인카지노추천 crime drama that you have seen before. But really the performances from our two leads is what elevates this material. Michael B. Jordan as Stevenson and Jamie Foxx as McMillian help make these characters as compelling as possible, and leave you rooting for them to succeed above all else. The movie has its fair share of moments that under less talented directing would come across as corny. And the tolerance for corn and melodrama will vary from person to person. For me, the performances and presentation were enough to sell me on the drama. The story may be nothing new, but the delivery of it helps make these same lines feel motivational and story uplifting. Not much more to say, you'll have to Just Watch and find out.
Quite a movie. The last statement was that 1 in 9 on death row was found to be innocent. 'Error' it said. Hmm, not errors.
Such a classic! One of my favorite movies.
Absolutely loved it - a newbie willing to put everything he has into saving people on death row! Another enlightening and eye opening movie!
This based on real life crime drama had excellent acting. Tim Blake Nelson played an amazing minor character integral to the plot.
this is a great movie, the fact that its a true story makes it that much better. Highly recommend.
It was realistically more like a 3 star movie but I am going to give it 2 stars because it felt over hyped and and DID NOT live up to the ratings. This movie has a 99% audience rating...so I was expecting like a jaw dropping, best movie ever, where has it been all my life kind of movie. But honestly it wasn't that great. It's an inspiring story shining light on our flawed and often times corrupt legal system. But the movie itself taken just as a Hollywood made movie. It just wasn't all that great.
One of the best movies I've seen lately, a must watch for sure !! So well written and directed it's impressive. 5/5 🍅.
Inspiring, incredible to feel the injustice that over time became justice but excellent messages and acting
Everything in this film is well done, a great production.
A Must See. So well done and exposes America for what it is
Only 85% from the critics. They must have sh*t for brains. Excellent performances and storyline. The 15% that voted it down must be paid off.
Had me engaged the whole time.
