Clown Reviews
Possibly my favourite comedy. The humour might not be for all but it's my cup of tea. The lead actor is a loveable cowardly fool that just had me crying with laughter.
"I'd love to be a sex tourist in my own country." - Frank Best friends Frank and Casper embark on a sex tour turned canoeing trip with 12-year-old Bo in tow. This marked the first feature-length escapade spun from the popular Danish sitcom of the same name. Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen have a deranged repertoire that they've developed over the years. The inappropriate hijinks are hilarious and shocking even if this ultimately feels like an episode spread too thin. If nothing else, it's illuminating to see this breed of Danish comedy, which go places that would never fly in the United States.
Täysin häpelemätön, härski komedia. Hyvin tämän kanssa viihtyi tehokkaat 90min. Kaikkea muuta kuin peruskomediaa :)
A film that's as impossible to figure or forsee but at the same time exactly as you expect it to be - a cocktail of humor and embarrassments. It's just as the show but the question is how it works out as a full length. Well, it really does work out. The humor is childish but always on the edge, a great balance that it sometimes fails to comprehend. It did not give me many laughs but some smiles and head shakes where I go "my, how can that even imaginatly happen?" Some nice phrases some good moments, but too many mediocre moments. It never bored me and I never felt it was poor, but I was never totally satisfied either. The series was a new, fresh piece of original air - the film is not as fresh, but still up to date. 5.5 out of 10 underbergers.
Hilarious dark comedy from Denmark in the spirit of 'The Inbetweeners' or 'The Hangover' which manages to outdo both those English language pictures. Some of the content pushes the boundaries of decency to it's limits but the likeability of the lead holds it together.
WOW... few times do I "laugh out loud" at/during film or comedy in general, but this movie had its fair share of hilarious(albeit uncomfortable) moments.
Over the top crudeness made this unwatchable for me. The kind of humor in this film, jokes about bodily functions and crude sexual humor, might get laughs, but it is the most low brow form of humor out there. Too many writers and directors use these things to get easy laughs. I prefer writing and storytelling that is just a bit more intelligent than this.
Quite the odd little movie but I definitely laughed out loud more than once! Love the part where Frank is "too ugly" to get in to the party..
It was slow going, but it really gets so laugh out loud through a few dirty shocks in the second half! Definitely a Danish Curb Your Enthusiasm (which I'm not a fan of) but hilarious moments. You warm to the characters. And don't worry Bo... I wee sat down most of the time too!
Great Danish comedy that's been on my Netflix instant queue forever. Finally watched it and I'm glad I did. Very funny and entertaining throughout, with plenty of unexpected and completely inappropriate twists.
Had its funny moments, but was generally a damp squib. Some elements were too dramatically extreme to make this a comedy, or a good one, at least.
