This performance of Walker's is the best I've seen of him away from the 'Fast & Furious' franchise, as everything else around him in 'The Lazarus Project' fails to make an impression his showing is terrific. Bob Gunton, if I had to pick someone, is the pick of the others. The story features an intriguing concept, but I can't say I was ever all that interested in it due to the way the film portrays it; which is a bit too episodic. They just show one thing, then the next and then the next and it never feels well connected. There is no mystique, despite a mystique-filled premise. The main problem in the repeated three week loop in the last two episodes, is the main characters (George, Shiv) repeating their acts although they're aware that they've already lived these moments before and can change the course of events. Since they both carry the gene and remember what happened previously,- as evidenced by George trying to save Shiv and salvage his relationship with Sarah, how come George keeps shooting Shiv in exactly the same time and way? He knows Shiv is coming for him and that he needs Shiv alive - why doesn't he do anything to prevent Shiv from shooting him and to avoid killing Shiv (like Archie did with Zhan). Likewise, Shiv also remembers the loops, so why does he keep shooting George, when he knows it'll cause his own death?
