Paul Lê Bloody Disgusting And while other horror franchises might show signs of decline well before their third outings, this one lucked out and delivered yet another instance of wicked entertainment. Rated: 3/5 Mar 12, 2025 Full Review Stephanie Archer Film Inquiry The premise is intriguing, both in location and compounding of the Leprechaun mythology, but nothing truly develops into anything fun, intriguing, or worth watching. Erik B Another terrible installment...but I did enjoy seeing Lee Armstrong running around in her little outfit the entire movie. Better than 2. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/25 Full Review aiden k This is probably the best leprechaun movie. I say “probably” because i haven’t even seen any of the others, I just really like this movie lol, it’s a good st patty’s day watch if you’re into old shitty horror movies. Turn your brain off and enjoy it Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/21/25 Full Review SkyRo P "Leprechaun 3" piqued my interest after a friend of mine decided to dive into the series, and I thought it would be fun to follow suit, especially since we share similar tastes in older films. As I mentioned before, I found the original "Leprechaun" to be entertaining despite its low critical and audience ratings. The second installment was a bit of a letdown, and I often confuse it with the third. Now that I’ve rewatched them all, I can say that "Leprechaun 3" takes us to Las Vegas, which is a notable shift in setting. However, this installment felt off-putting to me. The lead character struck me as uncomfortable rather than charismatic. It's not about mocking his appearance; rather, he simply didn’t embody the qualities of a leading man. He seemed more suited for a supporting role, reminiscent of characters from horror films like "The Hills Have Eyes" or "Wrong Turn," rather than a central figure in the "Leprechaun" series. As he gradually transitions into the leprechaun persona, his luck begins to align with the role, but it doesn’t quite save the overall experience. While I don’t believe every actor needs to be conventionally attractive, a leading hero still must possess a certain charm or appeal to sell the role. Unfortunately, his performance was lackluster, and the script felt like a significant step down from the previous films, with cringe-worthy casting choices and uninspired kills. That said, Warwick Davis continues to shine as the titular leprechaun. His iconic portrayal is the saving grace of this movie, elevating it just enough to avoid a complete disaster. His performance is so legendary that it provides a touch of brilliance even in a film that struggles to find its footing. In conclusion, I found "Leprechaun 3" to be the weakest entry so far, and based on what I’ve seen, I can’t expect much improvement as we continue through the series. Nevertheless, the legacy of the first film and the decent elements of the second contribute to the enduring presence of this leprechaun villain in horror history.
