Didn't keep my attention.

Morgan Freeman here is very good, and Billy Bob Thornton even better.

Excellent cast and a story that could have worked if it had any sense of reality. Unfortunately almost everything in this movie is contrived and blatantly artificial.

Thoughtful and compelling, Levity is an insightful drama that explores some deep issues. The story follows a convict that's seeking redemption and is taken in by a street preach who runs a shelter. Billy Bob Thornton, Morgan Freeman, Holly Hunter, and Kirsten Dunst lead the cast and give strong performances. The film is quite introspective and approaches its material in an unusual manner; which gives it a refreshing tone. Some of the character plots are underdeveloped, but overall the writing's pretty good. Though it's not completely successful, Levity is a smart and well-crafted film that has some rich storytelling.

Surprising, in a good way.

Billy Bob Thornton og Morgan Freeman ... Ah .. 2 gode knægte. Og Dunst har jeg også altid haft et øje til, omend hendes performances er meget svingende. Her var hun dog okay. Ikke en film fyldt med action fra start til slut, men derimod en man kan tænke lidt over bagefter... Og det er jo fint hvis man er i humør til det :)

While clearly wading in the "made for t.v." plot pool, "Levity" manages to be much more entertaining and much more haunting then it was originally seen as upon it's release. Billy Bob Thornton doesn't always get chances like this to show off a different side of his extremely talented acting ability. Great cast, atmosphere, and all- the film is still down that predictable "movie of the week" plot road. A very near hit.

Really depressing, but realistic in every way.

One of the best and most powerful dramas of the past decade. Very underrated.

An atmospheric drama with boasting excellent character development and cast. Story unfolds well but some flow is lacking due to Freeman's oddball portrayal. Be prepared, however, this is not a lighthearted movie.

Slow and straight-forward movie. I liked it...

This is one of those small independent movies, written en directed by one man <i>Ed Solomon</i> and straight from the heart. As one of the cast members mentioned:"<i>We are so used to watch people being killed on screen by the dozen. This movie shows the impact of the killing of only one person on his murderer. As often is a fact in real life.</i>". This movie is very well done and is certainly worth watching, even more than one time.

i thought this is more deep story. but no tear, no dramatic....
