Licence to Kill Reviews
it’s definitely an hard hitting bond film that doesn’t take any prisoners with fantastic performances, an amazing score by Michael Kamen and great action sequences
One of my favourite Bond films. Loved the darker tone and do love this take on Bond. I enjoyed the story and the action.
The lesser of the Timothy Dalton outings, Licence to Kill has a license to thrill but not to wrangle in its many narrative threads.
Quite the same thing as the last movie
THE BEST JAMES BOND MOVIE 9,7/10
Terrible acting and worse direction with camera lighting inferior to a high school play. Also the shark ( grey reef or silver tip?) is a fish eating shark of no particular threat to anyone. Utter garbage.
In my top three Bond films. Timothy Dalton does an amazing job as James Bond the film is entertaining with adventure, action beautiful sights and everything else you can ask for!!!
Licence to Kill is the darkest and most underrated Bond film ever made. The story sees Bond (Timothy Dalton, in his best performance as 007) resigning from MI6 to take revenge on drug lord Franz Sanchez (Robert Davi), who ordered an attack on Felix Leiter (David Hedison) after being captured by Bond and Felix. The grittiness of the story works with the dark themes to create a Bond film unlike any other, creating scenes such as Felix being attacked by a shark, Benicio del Toro being shredded, Krest being locked in a decompression chamber and his head exploding, and a petrol-soaked Sanchez being burned alive by Bond, resulting in a dark and cold revenge story, and an underrated masterpiece of film.
This Bond film had a darker side and graphic violence. The carefree cheekiness of previous Bond movies seemed to be gone. Dalton is good, but seems to be a more human version of Bond. This Bond has more reality and less entertainment value. Talisa Soto, Carey Lowell, and Priscilla Barnes were good. The action scenes were chaotic. A better script would have helped. There seemed to be a lot of bad guys without a central villian. I like all the Bond films, but I thought this one could have been better. Cheers.
I think I found the day where I like Licence to Kill. 8.5/10.
While the plot sometimes loses a sense of direction and the final scene detracts from the film's overall mood, Licence to Kill is an intense, rousing and eventful entry in the franchise that presents actual stakes brought nicely to life by Timothy Dalton and his darker and more defiant iteration of 007.
Timothy Dalton in a just okay outing.
an awesome bond film great film cool seeing bendico del toro so young it this film great villian and awesome bond girls highly recommend
one of the best bond films
I enjoyed Moores stint as Bond, it had excitement and humour but became increasingly silly and needed a reset. Daltons much darker and more realistically human approach was a perfect bit of casting and made for a great Bond. This is one of my favourites of the franchise and for my tastes better than the following rather 'plastic' feeling Brosnan era.
This is one of those better Bond movies. Very intense and emotional. I just wish it's not too silly though just to make the theme more consistent.
Very underapreciated Bond movie and actor i think Dalton does a great job here, in my opinion he's the most accurate bond to the books (craig in second place).
