Uma obra que beira a perfeiçao, o estilo artistico muito unico, combinado com uma historia cativante e envolvente que mesmo com menos de uma hora de filme voce nao se sente que esta corrido e um terceiro ato totelmente emocionante vale muito a assisstida.

When heard about this show I said oh that looks really cool. I’ll definitely watch it. Then I kind of forgot about it for a while however, I watch a YouTube video and then that YouTube video of somebody mentioned this film and said it was the best thing that ever watched so that same day I decided to watch it and oh my god they were right this movie in the whole 58 minute run time is definitely one of the best things I’ve ever seen. It has a really good take on recognition versus passion, specifically aimed towards the passion of drawing, and the conquest to be recognized as a good artist however, when the two sides me, it shows what can happen. it also shows how to deal with loss and self blame. There are many different themes of friendship and ambition, but in the end, all of that came back to a simple slip up that made the main two characters meet, And how that simple combination was almost like yin and yang. 11/10

A tight 58-minute run time sweeping through the emotional journey of two girls with a shared desire to draw manga.

This is the kind of movie that scares me, in every negative sense. It creates countless happy situations that don't seem genuine. At every moment, you feel that something bad is coming. Even without knowing what it will be, you feel it because the construction of the happy parts is a trap. Everything is built just to make the sad part seem even sadder. When it comes, you feel frustrated because, besides foreseeing what was to come, you don't receive any good reward for it. There's no point in saying that it's about fleeting happiness. The movie leaves a bitter taste, no matter how beautiful it was up to a certain point.

I cried multiple times. This rivals a quiet voice in terms of brilliance

Had read the manga before the film had come out, so had very high expectations. Everything from the animation to the story line, just gets you on the edge of your seat; fighting back the tears. Look back is almost a cry for help from Fujimoto, the way he clearly questions 'the point of it all?' in his work; but still carries on creating. With Look Back, we get to see a unique storyline; coming from the sincerity of his heart. The way he explains the struggle of being a Mangaka, and the high expectations you face with the quality of your work; is something we can all relate to in any creative hobby.

This film is cute, touching, and just the right amount of sweet. It takes on grief in a creative way, with the alternative timeline and that magical comic strip sliding under the door. Simple but effective. It’s a strong 3 stars movie -- charming, emotional, memorable, and just the right length.

My favorite short story of all time and I'm so glad they did it justice. The music was beautiful and the pacing was amazing. Tatsuki Fujimoto has the best most expressive ways of drawing human faces and clothes I've ever seen. Plus its so well written and dense that it gets through the whole emotional rollercoaster in 50 minutes, so makes it a lot easier to recommend to people.

Most beautiful movie of the year. Deserves an Oscar for the rain scene alone

A very nice, emotive anime, kind of unknown

Every so often, I find myself hating my art. It's not good enough, it doesn't stand up to my own critiques when I finish it, it's tedious and laborious, and I'm almost never happy with the final product. But I still draw. I can't imagine a world where I'm not an artist. This story understands artists better than any story I've ever experienced. The girls aren't visionaries, they're not tortured artists with sad backstories, they're people who draw because, well, why wouldn't they? They connect to each other because they draw and I'm can't help but connect as well. I can't find the words to describe how emotional this movie made me, all I can say is that you should watch it and see the true heart of artists.

An absolutely gorgeous movie! You might think I am so sensitive but I feelt so identified with Fujino that I cried. I used to love drawing manga when I was younger, so I understand Fujino madness and at the same time I understand Kyomoto feelings.
