Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Though he’s managed to draw better-than-average performances from his cast of pre-teens, Daniel DelPurgatorio’s mash-up of horror and sci-fi proves ultimately less than the sum of its many parts. Rated: C Apr 24, 2025 Full Review Abby Olcese The Pitch Marshmallow announces DelPurgatorio as a filmmaker worth watching, and Greskoviak as a skilled writer. The solid script is the foundation for a movie so efficiently produced that wise studios should take note. Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Paul Lê Tales from the Paulside It’s a bit of a trek getting to that huge plot change-up, and while I felt the fatigue and frustration setting in, this movie is a trip still worth taking. Just hang in there and you’ll be rewarded. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 11, 2025 Full Review Sarah Musnicky InBetweenDrafts Marshmallow is a surprising gateway horror with a twist that adds some creativity and fun in familiar territory. This is a showcase not just for DelPurgatorio and Greskoviak but also for its incredibly talented cast. Rated: 8/10 Apr 11, 2025 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Refreshingly unpredictable, exhilarating, provocative and genuinely heartfelt. It's kindred spirits with another equally smart, surprising and moving sci-fi movie, Donnie Darko. Apr 11, 2025 Full Review Tessa Smith Mama's Geeky This film takes a classic horror story and flips it on its head, adding Sci-Fi elements and big, bloody scares throughout. JULIA M This movie was a mess . Bad acting, weak writing. A waste of 90 minutes🤮 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/16/25 Full Review Padjka Marshmallow is a wonderful coming of age camp movie with the right amount of scare, endearing characters and a great twist! We can all relate to the awkwardness that comes with being a young teen and the friends we make who help us through these times. We absolutely loved this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/13/25 Full Review tizzle puzzle Wasn’t expecting that !!! Loved it Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/12/25 Full Review Babs Great cast of kids with a great story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/25 Full Review Cheyenne I am ready for part 2..... Loved it. Thank you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/25 Full Review Dave W Saw this with my father. Afterwards I told him I could relate to my camp experiences in the ‘70s (not in a good way). That was the most terrifying part to me; realizing that the deep seated suspicion of summer camps could be more real than imagined. This is a refreshing movie that takes your standard predictable “camp slasher” movie and takes you in a different direction. I enjoyed the kid actors and the final twist I didn’t see coming. As mentioned by others, we were in the smallest theater of the megaplex with only 1 other. I regret that very few will have a chance to see this in a theater. It was showing only once per day at a limited number of theaters in our major city. I went in half expecting to waste 90 minutes, but was pleasantly surprised. Added bonus was a trailer for the upcoming “Clown in a Cornfield”. Can’t wait to face more fears of something that is deeply rooted in “normal” life.
