Dwight Brown National Newspaper Publishers Association In the beginning you'll think something is missing from Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation. Excitement. Audacity. Edge. Visual splendor. Be patient. In it's own way, this action/thriller eventually gets the job done. Mar 15, 2017 Full Review Max Weiss Baltimore Magazine If Jason Bourne is our most brooding spy and James Bond is our suavest, then IMF agent Ethan Hunt is our most intense, the one most willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Sound like anyone we know? Rated: 3/4 Jun 12, 2016 Full Review Jason Bailey Flavorwire First-rate popcorn, a meticulously devised and elegantly executed spy movie that manages to thrill with its stunts, jangle with its set pieces, land a laugh or two, and not insult our intelligence May 27, 2016 Full Review Ankit Ojha Cinema Elite True to the title of its series, “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” banks on the impossible and gives the fans what they want: a slew of larger-than-life set pieces for an overall moviegoing experience that’s just built different. Mark F One of the best in the franchise along with MI1 and 3. This is the one where it starts to match the quality of modern Bond, moving the franchise from big and brash to big and sophisticated. The Vienna opera, underwater vault, and motorbike chase sequences are some of the best in the genre. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/15/25 Full Review Jude Adriyan F Action it its peak, a masterpiece Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/15/25 Full Review Faiz D The most well constructed movie of this franchise so far. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Andreas Z Great locations, thrilling action, and impressive stunts. Simon Pegg adds humor and charm, while Sean Harris stands out as a chilling villain. The story is sometimes hard to follow, and Rebecca Ferguson's performance felt a bit flat. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review Stephen C Rated PG-13 for Sequences of Action & Violence, and Brief Partial Nudity. 2 hours and 11 minutes of action comedy, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Audience Member While still a pretty good movie, this mission impossible doesn’t add up to the previous iteration and ghost protocol. The cast is largely the same, which lends itself to more time on the job. But they dedicate this time to Moore one on one time between cruise and Ferguson, instead of giving us an easier to understand backstory and building out some of the actual dialogue and conflict. The set pieces are good as always, but there’s just not enough substance to it to make up for all the jumping around. This was the weakest one since MI 2, which is still to say it’s a good movie. It just fails to follow up a string of two good films in a row. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/07/25 Full Review Read all reviews
