Synopsis
Leonid Loktev, a Russian immigrant living in Colorado, suffers permanent brain damage and is restricted to a wheelchair after being struck by a car while crossing the street. His daughter, Julia Loktev, filmed this documentary on the struggles of her mother, Larisa, who must quit her job as a computer programmer to care for her husband. Although both Leonid and Larisa are trapped -- he in speechless paralysis, she in the role of permanent caretaker -- both display surprising strength.
