Romain Goupil was just a teenager when he joined France's radical Left in the 1960s. With equipment borrowed from his cameraman father, he shot a great deal of film documenting his fellow militants and their protests. Here Goupil combines that footage with other archival material and present-day interviews, creating a record of the events leading up to and following May 1968. He focuses particularly on his friend Michel, trying to understand why this idealistic young man committed suicide.

Audience Member Très beau film, auquel la narration contribue de façon magnifique. Peut-être un peu hermétique pour les non-Français (les branches et les sous-branches des groupes politiques sont nombreuses !!)
