Stephen Romei The Australian It鈥檚 a sweet exploration of how new life can blossom in unanticipated ways 鈥 even Mephisto plays a part in this 鈥 and how new friends can be found in unexpected places. Aug 7, 2024 Full Review Alejandro Lingenti La Naci贸n (Argentina) Mr. Blake at Your Service recounts with a pair of legends - John Malkovich, Fanny Ardant - but the story it tells is conventional, especially in its forms, and very predictable. bob c Interesting about a man dealing with grief by helping others, but in an irritating form of French. With French version of Hollywood ending. JM does JM in French. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Saxone A I have a feeling that the audience reviews, all in English, are shared between those who don't speak French and those who do. The non French speakers are a little kinder to this than the French speakers. If you speak French, avoid this film like the plague. The awful accents, the English speaking to each other in French even in London, all make for a cringe fest. But even without the language icks, the story makes little sense, the characters do not seem real, they do stupid things and the ending is entirely unconvincing. Over 2 hours wasted hoping for it to get better (it didn't). Don't bother. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/25 Full Review
