Neil B A series of masterful performances from a cast of stars. Albert Finney plays Poirot without the comic aspects employed by others, and although it lacks the authenticity of Christie's strange little man, he set the standard for Poirot. This film apparently restored Christie's acceptance of film adaptations of her books, and I can see why. For those used to Suchet as Poirot his performance may grate but I found it as good, if different. Modelo: #assassinato #detetive #suspense Duração: 2h 8m Ano: 1974 Minha opinião: Este filme é inspirado no livro de Agatha Christie escrito em 1934 e depois reproduzido neste filme 1974 e depois um remaker 2017 que teve uma constelação de atores e atrizes, mas não no peso de 1974. Bergman, Connery, Perkins, Bisset, Bacall, Hiller,.... Tanto o filme 74 é filme ao de 2017. Onde várias pessoas ilustres estão no Expresso Oriente, e durante a noite quando os trilhos esta interrompido por causa da neve, ocorre um crime Ratchett é assassinado com 12 facadas. Onde cada um dos passageiros que estão no trem tem motivos para mata-lo. Oque o assassino não esperava, que no trem iria embarcar um famoso detetive, Hercule Poirot. E ele começa a interrogar um por um. Até chegar ao desfecho, quem será o assassino ou assassina? Após ele levantar os motivos que cada um tem para cometer o crime, desde vingança a varias outras razões. Spoiler!!! Os assassinos são os 12 passageiros, onde cada um de uma facada por ter 12 motivos. Roteiro e enredo muito bem elaborado, quem imaginária quem seriam os assassinos. E ver tantos rostos que fazem do Hall das grandes estrelas de Hollywood. Vale apena assistir? Com certeza. Rated 3/5 Stars •  Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/15/24 Full Review Alexander V Murder on the Orient Express directed by Sidney Lumet is arguably and easily his worse movie where there is no 'directing' as such as the actors all do their own thing yet without any input or conviction as they mostly come acrooss as bored with the proceedings both over acting and under acting at the same time. Only Redgrave and Widmark come across as believable and realable. Finlny is far too camp and cartoonish and over-the-top making him too comic as if this was Carry On The Orient Express. Connery comes across as obvioulsy disinterested in playing the part and has golldenish-red lipstick which simply looks so absurd. aAfter his superb and powerful performance in The Hill directed again by Lumet, this is ham acting. Perkins is too psycho. York and Bissett are cardboard. Gielgud is Gielgud who could never act to save his life. The lighting is over-lit throughout which complete negates any sense of brooding mystery: it is in your face even in the scenes where there is darkness there is too much light and bad lighting can ruin a film but critics never seem to look at light. Rotten Tomatoes reviewers always give films a high rate score when they have a huge international cast of very famous actors no matter how awful the film is as they feel obliged to do so and even Roger Ebert gave this awful movie high praise.
