Anupama Chopra The Hollywood Reporter The film leading up to the end credits isn’t half as sparkling. Mar 11, 2025 Full Review Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express This is a film which has been created by-and-for hashtags, with zero insights into the demographic it represents. Rated: 1/5 Mar 7, 2025 Full Review Sakhi Thirani Common Sense Media Shauna Gautam's directorial debut stumbles as a formulaic romantic comedy. Mar 19, 2025 Full Review Rohan Naahar The Indian Express Ineptly put together, lacking any insight whatsoever into the human experience, Nadaaniyan is a blot on Karan Johar’s career as a film producer, and one of the most questionable originals ever produced by Netflix India. Mar 15, 2025 Full Review Manjusha Radhakrishnan Gulf News (UAE) This film could have been a sharp, stylish take on class wars, elitism, and the snobbery of posh schools, but instead, it unravels like a juvenile school project -- half-baked and lacking depth. Rated: 1.5/5 Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Anuj Kumar The Hindu A gossamer-thin romantic comedy that comes across as Karan Johar’s latest home assignment for star kids to pass the Bollywood entrance test, Nadaaniyan doesn’t pass muster. Audience Member If anyone recommends this movie, they hate you. Where to begin? Dubbing a film with Indian actors who haven’t cared enough to fully learn their mother tongue and jumped into films is absurd. The dubbing itself was done poorly. Ibrahim may have acting potential, but it didn’t portray as much with the horrible direction of this film. Khushi kapoor should genuinely quit acting. Having beauty definitely doesn’t mean having brains, and it reflects with her horrific, too much neck movement, not emoting acting. The supporting actresses did far better and should have been casted as the main role. The dialogue in this film was written as if everything needed to be vomited out and as if they desperately needed to be relatable. Shauna should redirect her life and quit directing. The story had potential but was displayed until the last 20 minutes of the film. What she tripping acid the first 1 and a half of the film? It’s awful. It was all thrown at you with no ease into each scene. Let this be a reminder to Bollywood to stop making such steaming hot garbage and hire quality talent and not nepo babies who clearly aren’t ready for the screen. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review Audience Member I am not sure why people do not like this movie. This is a great movie one because of the new actors, second, the story is unique, third, it is for these times. IT IS A GREAT AND FUNNY MOVIE. IT IS AWESOME. Something is wrong with all the people who left negative reviews. Maybe I am missing something. I am NOT Indian so possibly there is something I did not understand. THIS IS A GREAT FUNNY MOVIE. UNIQUE. I LOVE MAHIMA AND SUNIEL. OK they did not get along like in DhaRkan, ok. But this is reality. It happens. It is not always Romantic. I loved SriDevi's daughter. She is SO UNIQUE. NOT LIKE ALL THE OTHER ACTRESSES. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL. STOP INSULTING HER. Maybe I did not get all the insults in the movie, which I thought were wrong anyhow. Please stop the assault on Khushi. ENOUGH. IT WAS GREAT. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/08/25 Full Review Prabha K O don’t agree with rotten tomatoes .. today s generation is very much going thru what is shown in the movie and all the actors have executed their role very well . I enjoyed watching the movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/25 Full Review Ishita S This shouldn't even be called a movie. It's just an amalgamation of random reels. Why does K Jo keep making such crap? No story, no acting. Poor choice in choosing nepo kids who can't act. Ban this guy before he totally downgrades Hindi cinema. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/22/25 Full Review Deepika D The best movie. I love the story and acting. I will watch it again and again.
