A Nightmare on Elm Street Reviews
This took horror to a new realm, it really did. A classic, Freddy will never be forgot, not even in your dreams...
If you put any scary part and put on full volume its scary as hell freddy this movie is amazing 10 out of 10
This movie is an absolute classic and definitely for horror fans if you love scary movies and wes craven was so brilliant 👏
My only complaint, freddy is in it only for 8 mins
The greatest slasher movie ever made, an absolute masterpiece that is a must see for anyone
Absolutely horrible acting. Nothing makes sense. Interesting ending, but I couldn't care less at that point.
“Whatever you do, don’t fall asleep.” The iconic Freddy Krueger is a great villain being disgusting and evil in everything. The design for his character is great as the knife hands are new types of weapons that haven’t been used. Also Nancy is one of the smartest final girls ever and it’s said as her friends die and she is believed to be crazy. One thing to change is the ending which was slightly confusing but overall great and much better than I thought.
Boring and rubbish. This movie was not scary at all.
Muy buena solo le da muchos rodeos a la trama
An all time great horror movie...dream warriors is the best in the franchise. But this movie had a great cast and that raw feeling of death
Um ótimo filme de terror, muito original e com um dos melhores e mais icónicos vilões de sempre. Mesmo com todas as suas qualidades algumas atuações são medíocres e o final é um pouco anticlimático. (avaliação: 7/10)
This has got to be one of the most overrated "horror" movies of all time the premise of a killer only appearing in your dreams and if you die in that dream you die irl is so cool and should've been a great movie but it wasn't this movie is extremely boring, the acting sucks, the ending made 0 sense, and there's so many plot-holes its impressive how many the writers missed Wes craven was a great director but I have no idea what happened for this movie to be made and why it's so loved but if you like to watch cheesy terrible written 80s movies this is a great watch for you!
never has jump rope been so scary
Some great horror elements and of course an iconic horror slasher who is creepy and corny at the same time, just didn't click with me much and some of the acting was weak and wasn't entirely scary, miles better than the terrible remake though. Not sure why it's an 18 even it's pretty tame
Esse filme têm uma ideia genial fei de forma maravilhosa. Esse filme é obrigatório pros fans de slasher
I love this film. It looks great. The sound is a bit hollow though, especially the dialogue, especially the guy with the leather jacket. The characters are really engaging, it has an original story and it is a bit chaotic in a good way. Some of the practical special effects like the stretched arms and floating woman are goofy but most of it is really good. The editing and makeup is excellent which I don’t normally notice. The occasional melodrama is entertaining but feels dated. I like to think that this inspired Home Alone (1990) but it probably didn’t. Some of the jump scares are more effective than others. The whole final act is so entertaining, I loved it! Overall there is a noticeable step-up in production quality across the board compared to Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984).
A nightmare on elm street is an all time classic that can still scare people to this day.
I'm not gonna sleep well tonight 😧
Wes Cravens absolute best film right next to another masterpiece, SCREAM. Everything from Freddy (my favorite slasher of all time) and the atmosphere of the film and the production, its my favorite horror movie of all time. It's violent but not as violent as you'd think. Please watch this movie it's an absolute classic masterpiece. People who are trying to get into horror WATCH THIS MOVIE!! Robert Englund KILLS it and gives the performance his all. Ahead of its time and an absolute must see for horror fans or horror starters. Masterpiece
Even after 40 years, A Nightmare on Elm Street still holds up very well as one of the best horror movies ever made. Freddy Krueger cemented himself as one of the great horror icons as a result of Robert Englund's stellar performance and the way the movie slowly reveals him. Paired with great characters and suspenseful environment, there is no doubt this film is a classic. The last five minutes is the only thing that negatively impacts it.
