Nowhere Special Reviews
Its hurt alot 😭😭, i cant stop crying
A must watch. It's beautiful I wish more people heard of it.
Difficult to watch in places (particularly if you are the father of a young boy) but astonishing performances by the two leads make this one of the best films I have ever seen.
I caught a small part of this film on BBC2 and felt it was worth a watch, but didn't realise the full back story. Watched on iPlayer the following night. Found it well acted, and incredibly moving, if somewhat painful for me on a personal level. I'm still got tears in my eyes now, can't remember the last time a film did that to me
You know that feeling where you almost want to bored by what at first seems to be a dull melodrama, but you can't help looking, so you do? This was one of those films which did it for me. Always understated, yet heartbreakingly real. The performances are astounding, and that the Director can capture such emotion from such a young child is beautiful. Worth a watch without a doubt.
You will enjoy the performances, and the simplicity and flow of the story are well-crafted, perfectly complementing the movie’s runtime.
So well done and moving. Going to go cry now.
Great movie. Moving topic. Heartfelt fatherhood.
This film really touched me in ways I didn’t think it would. It’s so real, so actual, so true.
I wanted to like this film more. The problem is that the tone of the movie stayed exactly the same throughout. There were no ups or downs. It was well acted, and that was its strong point. However, the movie just stuck in a depressed state.
I saw the trailer on YouTube and thought it looked like a good film. I watched it and it was amazing. I haven't seen a film this good in many years. I suggest having a box of tissues handy. Right from the start it starts to pull on your heartstrings and doesn't let go. James Norton and the young newcomer, Daniel Lamont were brilliant onscreen together. This is a film I would recommend to others.
I loved this movie. It was heartfelt and real. The acting was superb.
Extremely simple but excellent at what it sets out to do. If you read the synopsis, that's basically the entire story of the film, but that's not a bad thing. The story is a backdrop for the performances, which in films of this type can fall into something more caricatured and forced. However, here the performances are subtle but deliver everything that's necessary for the scenes to work, with a soundtrack that's also simple but does its job. A good film.
Sensitively written, powerfully directed, and beautifully acted, this is a delicate yet honest look at grief and our struggle with loss. JN and young DL are absolutely incredible, as are the supporting roles of both EO'H and SMC. The setting and film score are spot-on too
Sobering, poignant love story about a dying blue-collar dad and his young son as he searches for the "right" adoption option for when he passes. Great chemistry in this movie ... apparently based on a true story.
Beautifully nuanced. An intelligent movie for those of us who don't want to see comic book characters, car chases or bombs exploding. Outstanding.
Beautifully restrained, beautifully acted, but there was absolutely nothing in the movie that surprised me. The main character's choice at the end was so obvious and predictable to anyone who has ever watched a movie, that when that ending did indeed did arrive, I felt disappointed.
This is a great little film. Both heart wrenching and touching story of the love between father and son. Its a tear jerker for sure. I loved this movie - perhaps a bit too quiet for some, I found it near perfect.
I went with two friends. The three of us thought the acting was suburb ... exceptional. James and Daniel could not have done better. They were father and son living the best way they could. If you miss this movie, you will be the worst for it. Very impactful for so many families. what would you do ... what could you do ... this may help you with decisions you must make. All aspects of this film is exceptional.
Outstanding acting. Not an action flic, but an excellent character study and a superb cast.
